Title: Can't even get AH to open

I haven't been on in a while... on Wednesday, I manually downloaded and updated AH with the patches that were released on 12/18/02.

I was able to log into the game on that day, but now it will not open for me at all. I get this error when I try and open the .exe.

Initialization failed with -9
main WLD_Failed -1

Can anyone help? Do I have to completely re-install AH?

Either that or re-install DirectX.  That error is pretty serious, but could be several things from a bad install of AH, to DirectX, to your video card/driver.

Crowwe,Skuzzy,

  I am getting that same error...I hope this isn't a real bad thing.I'm going to try to reinstall DierctX,and AH...Downloading on dial up is pretty slow..take all nite to install AH...I'll check back in the morning and let you know how it went...thnx
