My first thought was to post this as a bug, but I seldom see much follow up or respones in there. And I also thought I'd see how many others have the same issue.
I had several runs last night where I upped a fighter, shot down two cons, returned home, landed. Exited. Checked into the hangar and see perks awarded at Zero. Wft? Hmmm
Upped another fighter, with a Jabo load, popped a tiger as he spawned. Got the kill message, ran to base to land the kill to see if I'd get THOSE perks. Again, zero
I've filmed these events and am wondering if this is just a odd, freaky instance, or are a lot of folks having this problem too?

Captn ...
I know for sure on a JABO run, if you don't score the sortie as "ATTACK" and you kill any GV, you will get the kill, but you will not score perk points.
I took up a C-HOG the other night (7 Perks) killed 3 guys, then got killed myself. Went to the hanger and saw -7.87 perks !!!
I checked the hanger page and the C-HOG was still 7 perks. Something is wrong.

You only get perks for people who you actually shot before you got the kill. If someone dies, and you get the kill without having shot them, it's a prox kill and does not award perks.

Understood ... but how does that relate to any of the above examples.
CaptChaos said he landed all his kills, and mine, well they weren't proximity kills. Even if they were, how could I still lose more perks than what the plane cost ...

Ya slappy I noticed same thing. Perk plane says cost x to fly you get killed plane still shows x as cost but get dinged for a higher value for the death. Flew a c hog it was like 11 perks got killed hanger still shows it at 11 perks but I lost 17 somthing.

Well I hadn't noticed the Score As thing before. I think that's a little odd tho...usually for a longer flight, I carry ordinance just in case. Most of the time I jettison it but in this Pizza map, I've noticed GVs spawn from everywhere. So while I may be enroute to a furball, I'll see tracers zip past me, look and find GVs firing on me. So I'll dive in and knock them down. I just thought the game already accounted for killing GVs regardless of your "fighter/attack" role.
I'm not sure I understand the difference clearly, but I set my P-51B to Attack mode and accrued several perks last night busting tanks.

Remember that perk points are no longer fixed, they are dependant on your sides numbers (in an attemot to promote side balancing).
Thus is quite feasible that a Chog can cost 10 perks in the hanger, and fifteen minutes later (when you RTB/auger/whatever) the cost has changed.

but according to HT, the perk cost of the perk plane you take up is fixed upon hitting the runway.
so 15 mins later any changes should not affect the cost when you took it up. however, people have remarked that if you linger in the hangar too long, or go back to tower before taking off, the perk cost might have changed within that brief timespan.

I was wondering about that. That may be what HT intended but its not what happening at least not with all perk rides. I have noticed it with the 262 f4uc and the tiger. All show differnt perk loses when lost then what it showed in the hanger before launch.
