Title: Better functionality with TrackIR
Post by: SIFTER on January 28, 2003, 03:42:10 PM
Hitech and Company,
On the next version I would like to see a better mouse view system to work with Eye Control Technologies-TrackIR head tracker. I just recently got it working well with the pan view. Time to relearn AH with new view system!
>>TrackIR would be the perfect viewer for AH if the pan view could be set to look around the armor plate to the rear? The only way to accomplish this, is by raising the head position, but you can't see the gunsite when you snap back forward? You have to program other buttons to switch between view modes, to do both. <<
I've flown in every tour from the first open beta day until now. Hitech Creations and AH are without peer! Keep up the great work! Many wives have you on there "hit lists";)

Interesting, I was just at the TrackIR website wondering how well it would work with AH...  looks like a pretty immersive idea.

TrackIR is especially good if AH2 will be "no icons".  That would be awesome.  IL2 has a well built in mouselook system and TrackIR support, fwiw.

I'd really like to see TrackIR aswell, especially if it won't be "snap views" but smooth scrolling views (like the one you can get if you press one of the F-buttons).

And for those that wonder what we're talking about here's the link to the manufacture (http://www.naturalpoint.com/).
