I have been playing Il2 a lot and I have been surprised at how useful trim can be. Ya ya trim is a bit overmodeled there-but anyway. When I jump to AH I feel the loss of control-especially at very high and very low speeds...ok ok. So can you map it to a slider like IL2?? Its got to be part of HOTAS to be useful.........

This has been discussed before. Apparently, the problem is combining the auto pilot functions with trim. If the trim is controlled by a slider, the transition from auto pilot to manual control might be too abrupt -- resulting in red/black out and/or loss of flight surfaces.
A compromise is to map the trim functions to a button or switch. I have elevator and aileron trims mapped to a hat switch on the throttle. This provides convenient manual trim control that is compatible with the auto pilot modes.

I used the search funtion and found it.

X45 - trim mapped to rotors
-
i also have an x45, i cant get the set up to identify my rotaries, how did you do this, please tell me, i will give you 1000 bomber perkies, lol
-
you have to band the rotors into three divisions
example:
thumb rotor
break into three bands - top and bottom large with a small band in middle
top band set for command to raise elevators up, bottom band set as command to lower evelevators and leave middle band as "no command"
leave the rotor in the middle, spin it up to go up & back down through middle to lower section to descend..
place back in middle to stop trim at desired setting
on mine:
thumb is elevator, forefinger is rudder and rocker is aileron trim (have peds)
