Title: stick stirring message

I have been told that my sound cards game port is responsible for the random message about moving my stick to fast. I never got it before the last patch and cant seem to adjust it out now. My question is what kind of sound card/game port do I need to kill this peskt problem?

You _NEED_ USB, gameports overheat and cause erratic outputs. However, as you probably do not wish to get all new equipment, have you tried adjusting the deadband on your joystick within Aces High? This will create a deadband around the center of your joystick so that small spikes won't be registered. Then again, you lose that area of your joystick for input too. Dampening will slow down your joystick's responses, which will help make spikes go away- but it will make the responsiveness really mushy in the game.

If you want the best game port, you need to get a game card. Those are much better than any sound card gameport.

Thanks for the info.

I have adjusted the deadbands as much as possible and still have the problem. It looks like it will be easiest to upgrade my stick to usb

What kind of stick Krush? If it's not digital then get one of these gameport-usb adapters for $11.00 (+ S&H) at http://salcon.11net.com (http://salcon.11net.com)

 I changed out my CH gamecard for it and have been very happy.

And if your stick is a Logitech Wingman Extreme, that could be the problem.  A large number of my squaddies are having troubles with that stick since the latest patch.

Preon is right.  I have a Logitech Wingman Extreme 3D.  It has a twist stick for rudder control.  I found the twisting axis, rudder control, to spike a LOT!!!!!!

In order to get it to stop giving me the stick-stirring message I had to adjust the deadband way up.  Unfortunately, that makes the rudder response too slow.

I ended up getting a set of CH Pro USB Pedals.  That's solved my problem.
