cant stand the idiots....... and the 1 ping sniper ack.
Last straw was just now some bozo with 16 rank takes the CV and deletes my zig zag course, sets it straight on, and when i yell "Turn CV Now, b17 over fleet!!" several times, no answer from him......
so i keep looking back in my f6f after takeoff and boom there goes the Carrier........
Guy's name was NB.
If you wanna go play Mr Captain why dont u get a pt boat or something and not screw everyone else over. We were atacking 48 with CV and losing it killed the attack....

Speech! Speech! Speech!!!
;)
-
rude thats a whine? was it a really mild week?
looks more like a vent of anger.seemed fair enough to me, I read it and thought the guy that took over the ship was probably the guy in the bomber with 2 accounts cheating :P
wegaman on the win, speech!!!
-
If a guy is without life to the point he will pay $30 a month to kill carriers, more power to him. It is keeping him off the streets and away from my daughters...
-
$30 a month? What are you smoking? It's only $15 a month for Aces High.
Great pick Rude. It's a whine all right.

Two accounts indeed would be $30.
Hmm, daughters are that good looking eh Kieren? (Books flight....)

Truthfully, I had chosen a different whine, however, I could not access the thread to copy it. Some bug with the bbs. And, yes, it was a slow week :)

DaughterS ?
(http://www.duhspot.com/users/smiley/s/otn/love/malelovies.gif) ... :D

Doesn't sound like a whine, rather an angry account of yet another instance of someone suiciding the carrier. I guess since it's typical arena gameplay as far as most people are concerned (regardless of how maddening it is) that could qualify it as a whine, but...

Yes, I read the whole thread, I was responding the above quote nonetheless.
My powers of comprehension could be considered fair. ;)
You other dudes- stay away, I bench 360lbs, can run very fast, and know how to use a knife to inflict slow, agonizing death! :D

So i geuss if some idiot was in control of your CV's and blew them up, you wouldn't complain??
Glad to here it, that's exactly why i said i couldn't stand the idiots. And if you think that's ok than you rank right up there with the idiots.
-
What I am saying is that it doesn't matter to me one way or the other. If that makes me an idiot, I guess I am. I didn't say it was fair, I didn't say it was nice, and I didn't say he wasn't a doo-doo head for doing it. :D
Unlike you, I realized long ago that, under our perk system, Gilligan can knock Skipper in the head anytime and steal the Minnow. That means it is pointless to worry about what some guy with a pile of points and nothing better to do with his time does with the CV. What I want or need has nothing to do with it, and it sounds like the sooner you figure it out the happier you'll be.

<sigh>.....this weeks pic is almost as retarded as the subject line. Geez...find a whine.

Kieran - I hear ya. My daughter is 12 and officially a woman (groan).
I would love it if I could take out my ole M40A1 and clean it in front of the lads when they drop over... But I'm now out and I don't need to own guns to prove that if they touch or hurt my daughter, I will hunt them down and cause them much pain. :D

"Kieran - I hear ya. My daughter is 12 and officially a woman (groan). "
oh man.
That has to be a troll no one would post that unless they wanted to see the infinite whitty replies that could be made to it.
-
Unless I read him wrong, he is referring to the "monthly bill". I feel your pain, I am surrounded, even the cats are females.
-
Wegaman – NB is usually a pretty strategy conscious flyer and I can’t see him sacrificing a CV for the hell of it. It happens some times and CV’s are easy targets for the right person trying to kill it. Regardless of the zigzags you have plotted.

As is... if a bomber can get its cross hairs on it..its dead.

Kieran, how old are they?
-
yeah how old? :)
btw you want to scare a teenage boy off your daughter?
dont do the moody father cleaning the gun routine! use some psycology!
first of all act OVERLY nice when they arrive at your home.make sure hes never quite sure if youre just too nice to be true.
then at some quiet moment mention how when you was in the army you used to dream of killing the kids that dated your daughter so you sought help and now youre cured!!!
THEN explain that when the feelings of hate and murder well up inside you turn them to smiles and happiness!!!
then a quick FORCED smile and a HEAVY pat on the back with 'im glad such a nice lad is..(choke the word out) DATING my daughter'
that should just about screw his brain up for another year.hehehe

Old enough to draw attention and young enough to be my babies. Stay away. :D
Truthfully, I have it better. I am a teacher, and by the time I let the girls date I will most likely have known them (the boys) for some time, and inversely they will have known me. It is far worse than your scenario, let me assure you.

A good one I heard just recently, sit down with the boy in question and tell he can do whatevr he wants with your daughter....
But when they get home you will do the same to him....Laughed my bellybutton off when I heard it BTW my friend is 6'4" and 500lbs.

Ah, yeah I missed the implication. 'Off the streets and away from my daughters' mean his daughters are on the streets. So HE can probably afford two accounts. Assuming they are getting customers, that is. :p ;)

Went to the potato house last week entertaining a visitor (relationship concealed to protect the innocent) to Reno. (I sat at the bar, sorry, don't dabble in that funstuff.)
Anywho, it's all a sudden clear why every state needs these, or why the AH community needs access at least.
You poor sorry stiff-sock bastards claiming a guy's that could kick 4 of your tulips at once daughters... :)
Oh the shame.
If you have you no respect for yourselves, have some for the good 'ol school teacher. (Animal excluded, his pitiful plight is understandable)

Suddenly I feel like Lizard yet again threatening Creamo at the con... ;)
I'm totally harmless in reality, but even a doe will defend her fawns. ;)

ROFLMAO!
Very flattering to be the target of the Whine of the Week!
The CV was just NW of 48. I had just popped the shore battery. The vast majority of the enema pilots were looking for LTV's from the CV. What Wegamanx didn't know was that 3 goons were approaching from the SW. When I saw him running the CV NE away from the field, I chose to stop it so that the enemas would continue to look it's way...and not where the goons were. About 5 minutes after I changed the course, Wegamanx screams "turn the cv". Well, NO ONE was in command of the CV at that point. He could have changed the course. Guess it was more important to him to have the opportunity for Whine of the Week :D .
The upshot was that he gave me about 5 minutes of grief on private because I had gotten the CV sunk and ruined his plan. Course, couple minutes after he logged, the tourists had checked in and 48 was ours :) .
Bottomline...we got 48 and that was all that mattered to me.
BTW, thanks to the squaddie that sent me the link for this...its a hoot!
-
If you are going to use a CV for an attack, I would suggest you have a cap over it to keep the B17's out of the way. As much your fault as anyone else's. and its only a game. :)

NB,
I assume your side owned the home port in which case the CV would just re-spawn. Then your tactic was definitely the right one. If not, and you gave the enemy another CV group, then your squaddies should cut you up into little pieces and hang ur metaphoric b@""s from a metaphoricrutland tree:D.
One small thing escapes me, (oi! not that small thing;) ), if you wanted the cv somewhere else why didn'y you just keep an eye out and shift it when the buffs arrived?

Actually, I was a tad busy dogfighting a 109 in my b26 at the time. Not really sure how effective shifting CV's is. Frankly, the only time I see that work is when I am the one bombing the damned things :) .

Whine...did this NB feller have a junior or senior member ?
Oh Cod...snort...snickers...

So lemme get one thing straight (ahh that's better). You are fighting a 109 in a septic tank and you still have spare brain capacity to worry about the cv and/or the possible capture of A48.
You da man:p

Not to be a jerk but Ive known Nobady for a long time under difrent names and met the guy in person. junoir or senior member doesn't meen much when he has been active in this community (online WWII flight sims like Air warrior and warbirds) for longer then most of us have been playing online flight sims, and probably done more for it then most of us combined.

Mayhem, you missed my "tongue-in-cheek" humor.
I know and have met NoBaddy as well and agree with your assessment.

I've always been under the impression that if somone is in command of a CV, it's really rude to take that command away. At the very least, its polite to ask the person if they mind. Of course, if you don't give a rip, then being rude isn't something that's gonna bother you all that much. Higher rank doesn't mean non smelly excrement. Most of the time it just means you have more free time to fly than others :p

Oops, Sorry. :D

Gremlin...
Moi? Spare brain capacity? Shirley you jest :D.I stopped the CV from running behind the island prior to playin with the 109. I also gave up command after changing it, precisely, so that anyone else could move it if need be.
Luxx...
Yes...it was rude. I did it once before and got cussed out for it, hence, I don't make a habit of it. I did feel the circumstances warrented it though.
Max...
My 'member' is at least as senior as yours :D .

I know what ya mean nobaddy. Sometimes ya just gotta make a call. Mebbe right, mebbe wrong, either way the only constants in the universe is the speed of light, and the speed of flamers on the BBS:D
