Title: Aces City Online?

I just thought about this for a second. What if you were given a few standard planes, that you could fly to gain points for free, etc. Then you could spend perk points you gain to to "work" on a project of yours. Change engine, new paint job, weapons configuration, buy bombs and such. I just thought of this after playing Motor City Online. Planes would actually be given personality and such. I know its a long ways away but....it would be cool! ok, flame me now

It's not a bad idea Eksel, would be quite fun if implemented, actually   :)

 Except, it could seriously threaten gameplay. Imagine a P-47D-11 Thunderbolt rigged in the "Lucky" style   :) 450mph.. whew~ Guys like Leph and Frenchy probably cannot resist the temptation(hehehe). Or, imagine a 4 Hispano Spitfire flying through MA.. It'd be hell for me   :)

thats exactly what im talking about. Get full tint windows, hydrolics and a big long banner behind your plane saying "EAT ME"

Hey, ya know in one of the bombers you can actually look forward into some compartment. I wonder if you could put in a bed with some guy lying on there watching T.V

Actually, the concept is sound.  Say that you have a streak going.  At certain points, you are able to, say, discriminate between your ammo mix, at another you get a better plane, another you get high octane fuel, or whatever.

It would be historical, somewhat, in that "stars" or Aces did get better equipment, that was better maintained, as well as more choice in what they flew.

Well, on a more serious note, let me add to my idea. You could upgrade your aircraft armour, do a mix between tracer, incindiary, hollow point (did they have these?) or armour piercing. Also set bomb timers? for low level bombing. MAke the game more personal. I mean seriously, when you crash a plane that you've flown for the past few sorties without dieing you feel SOMETHING.
