I just bought an older Nintendo Gameboy (monochrome dot matrix screen), but I don't have any game cartridges. If you are willing to give some away, please reply to this post, and add your email.
thanks :)

Lots of luck.. the old stuff still plays... The GameBoy Color can use the older monochrome stuff and the GameBoy Advance can play the Gameboy Color carts.
AFAIK, There's no reason why the Advance can't do the monochrome as well.

what does AFAIK mean?
you are right, that must be the reason cartridges are so overpriced. I bought the Gameboy for 5 dolars, but even used cartridges were like 10 bucks so In decided to wait and see if I can find any for cheap (or for free)

As Far As I Know.... :)
There's always eBay... :)

You typically don't get crts that cheap, IMO on ebay because of the whole "it's only one dollar more to stay in the game..." aspect. Look for a good retro video game store on the net. I get a bunch of Atari and Intellivision stuff that way.
