Seriously, we seem to have forums for everything. What's this one for? "General Discussion implies" nothing specific. I'm not trying to criticize the recent moving of threads to other forums, but I think it would help us if this forum had somewhat defined topics.
The incentive to post here is that posters know that the General Discussion forum gets 5 times as much traffic as other forums. If you want folks to read and respond, this is the place to do it.
Thanks,

i think ACES HIGH gereral discussion would be AH specific.
Also, note where the 'moved' threads get placed.

Aces High is clearly implied.
Look at the thread tittles in this forum.
Almost all of them could be moved to other forums.
The question persists.

I'd never try and tell HT how to operate the board, but heres my 2¢
Threads that are being moved seem mostly to be those that CLEARLY have a place in another forum and add nothing positive to the community.
Tech problems need to be in the tech forums for so many reasons.
Gameplay feedback/issues also have a very good place to be.
And of course there are those threads that just need to die...quickly:rolleyes:
Other than those threads which have a real need to be in their specific forums, all boards have 90% of the traffic on the GENERAL/DEFAULT forum. Nothing is ever going to or should change that. Its great to have forums for some things, but many people will never visit some of the less used forums, and so some great discussions would get completely missed if they were posted there (whens the last time you looked at the "history forum...hmmm?)
I have never seen Dale or any of his employees do anything that caused me great concern. Sure the last few days have been a little wild here on the forums, but anyone who has been here a while knows things were getting way out of hand. Its unfortunate that HT must expend and resources at all to control things like this, but it is something many of us saw comming.
I try my best to add to the community, and if everyone does the same, the community will flourish.

I know we would like to see more discussions about sorties and just general talk about flying and stuff in here.
The reason a lot of threads get moved is so they will get seen by the right people. For instance, registering an idea in this forum may get noticed buy other players, but could go unnoticed by HT.
You want your thread to be effective, or is it just noise?

Thanks for your responce Skuzzy.
I think that your right to move the threads that you move, however, this is a bit vauge: "more discussions about sorties and just general talk about flying and stuff". If you look critically at the titles in General Discusion, most of them could be placed elsewhere. Yes? No?
I still don't have a clear picture of what does belong in here.
Just looking for a definition.

Just call it the Filtering Forum. Post here if you're unsure where your post fits and it'll appear there eventually :)
