Greetings all,
Just added two java applets (written by and used with permission of Emmanuel Gustin) for comparing level speeds (http://www.netaces.org/ahplanes/comparisons/speed.htm#title) and climb rates (http://www.netaces.org/ahplanes/comparisons/roc.htm#title) of the AH planes.
Data used was from HTC's speed and climb rate charts.

thx

That is great thanks for doing that. I didnt relize the spit was better climber than a P38 interesting

Hammer,
Any chance of also posting (and updating) your old speed charts ?
The java charts are great, I've used them for quiet a while at Gustin's site, but I also found your charts valuable because they have WEP/Non-WEP speeds, which can be very important to know! The java charts are based on WEP speeds only.
If you need help with the testing, I'd be glad to run a few planes thru your test procedure to help you.

MOSQ,
If you look closely, I have both WEP and non-WEP on the java charts at netAces.

My Apologies !
Great stuff ! Thanks.

Looking at that chart with a P51D and and 109G10 it says a 109G10 is faster at all altitudes if on wep, is that right? seems that 51s can always run from me close to deck. by the way Im always coming here to compare planes. Great job !!

Based on the charts at HTC, the G-10 is faster. The largest difference below 10k, though, is only about 13 mph.
If you look at the speed retention tests (http://www.netaces.org/ahplanes/comparisons/spdretover.htm#title), you will see the P-51 holds its extra E better than the G-10 so, assuming the 51 started with a speed advantage, it would hold that advantage for quite a while.

OUTSTANDING WORK!
Keep it up!:D

Great applet, but it looks to me like the 152 is missing from the level speed, and that's the one I'm most interested in :D
