So much bantered about by so many experts in this forum, specific to Bush and his war with Iraq....so much fear about how terrorism and nation building will be the end of us or at least make things worse.
Who here will post on these same boards an apology when Bush's policy works? I get the feeling that the number will be few as most complaining is not really about policy, but rather about a personal dislike of Bush himself and some poor loser syndrome due to the loss of their candidate.
I personally will be first to admit I was wrong if Bush's policies blow up in our faces. I believe what he is doing will work and that the people of Iraq will be grateful, as well as the neighboring Arab states.
We'll see huh?:)

How will you admit it if terrorists unleash a deadly virus that kills all of mankind? How? HOW? HOW DAMMIT!?!?

Rude: I personally will be first to admit I was wrong if Bush's policies blow up in our faces.
You have to define what it means "blow up in our faces". Would it be considered "blowing up" if US succeeds in taking over Iraq with minimal bloodshed and hundreds of millions around the world get turned away from ideals of democracy as "american invention" that can only be enforced externally by force?
When will it be clear whether it blew up or not? Any deadline - a year, two, five?
Over 10 years passed between US refusal to remove troops from Saudi Arabia "sacred" soil which turned our friend and freedom-fighter Osama Bin Laden into our enemy - and 9/11 disaster, loss of life and ensuing curtailment of our liberties.
Does that mean that the first Gulf War blew up in our faces? Anyone willing to admit it?

I suspect it will be the same percentage who apologized to Clinton after he was aquited.

I wonder what the rest of the world would perceive us as if we go to War against Iraq. Would the pool of terrorists increase?
Gee, I wonder why (rollseyes not inserted for DMF and Animals benefit) ;)

country is already back in debt, that is enough to prove to me his policy's have failed. Thanks for that taxcut buddy!

The frequency of terroristic attacks will decrease if we use force - look at what happened in Libya after the bombing.
The frequency of terroristic attacks will increase if we back down - look at what happened in Africa after the pullout.
Its a little more complicated - but it can simply be boiled down to this: people that use force to achieve their goals only respect force as a deterant. Thats my belief anyway.

I am afraid your argumant is a bit simplistic and one-sided in this case. Sometime external threat just unites the people against us while leaving them alone would allow the population take a hard critical look at their rulers. Look what's happening in Iran (where US intervened once already), China, Russia.
Force certainly works against states. It does not work as well against non-government organisations.
The muslims want us to pull out of their region, to stop supporting their oppressive monarchies against their subjugated popuations. Even if those populations are likely to be fundamental muslims, once in power the militant spirit is likely to dissipate in a generation - unless provided with an enemy like US interventionist plans.

2003 Patch release Notes:
Cowering to Blackmail is a democratic feature that will be fixed in some later upgrade...Maybe version 2004.1
Cowering to terrorists was in the Bubba 2000.054 release
and has since been fixed with the release of the latest software..
But the final patch for the free money to North Korea bug and the issue "bug" free nuke reactor to the same will be out first as a major update patch. Were thinking of calling this Patch the "John Wayne release"

You've got to be kidding. Right or wrong, don't expect thanks from Iraq or its neighbours. I suspect you have been listening to only one side of the story.
P.S. I only came in here because I thought somebody had some Rolling Stone tickets to sell.

If it works, then I have never been afraid to eat Crow. But not only am I sure that it will not, I will probably end up lying in a pool of blood drying in the sand over Bush's quest to give daddy's company all the oil in the Middleast. That is a bit simplistic, but true all the same. Look it up for yourself.....Look into the Bush family history of the past 70 years. Look at their corporate ties, and into what corporations that have allied with them. Also into the régimes that they have supported to include Nazi Germany.
But Hey, don't take my word for it. Look it up for yourself.
I will do my duty if I am called up. Been there done that. But mark my words; if we attack this time there will be a nasty surprise in the desert. He's (Sadam) had 12 years to plant them. I just hope the UN team finds them first.

Same crowd that will admit Clinton's economic plan was successful.
