Title: Hops and Props at the Museum of Flight (Seattle)
Post by: CMC Airboss on January 31, 2003, 04:03:53 PM
Who'da thought of combining beer with aviation history???  Seattle's Museum of Flight is hosting an evening event on Feb. 22nd that invites 24 microbreweries to share their finest craft beers.  All of the Northwesteners owe it to yourselves to attend this event.  Perhaps a NW Minicon event?  Here are the details.

Hey CMC, I work at the MOF. You must try our new "full motion" simulators that you control. They'll even sinc them to dogfight each other(there are two) if you have a friend with you. If you're going to drop by, send me an email and we'll shoot the bull.

Hey 2Stony, how new are these simulators? I was at the MOF for a flight on the 909 last June and didn't see them, they sound groovin!

Ripsnort, I don't think they allow sheep on the simulators.

By the way Ripsnort, if you come to the museum M-F from 10am-5pm, ask for me(Wilson)and I'll get you a free ride on the simulator. Otherwise, it's $8 per person per ride.

;)

Rgr, thks again for the offer Wilson (talked to ya in email too) but I'm willing to pay assuming some of it goes to the flight museum!  M-F is tough, and now we're moving to Issaquah! :( See you on Feb. 22nd?

Since I don't drink, I probably won't be here that day. As for wanting to pay anyway, the museum, and I, show our appreciation.
By the way, are you aware of the new fighter wing we are building on the NW corner of the current museum? The Champlin collection, which we purchased, will be moved up here this summer. The grand opening will be the 60th anniversery of D-day, June 6, 2004.

:)

Cool! It should be a "bang up" time. Maybe we could get all the local AH people together for that. Or maybe better yet, get them down here and have a simulator contest.

:D

I wouldn't say that. I've only been on it twice and that was before we opened it to the public.
The nice thing was that museum employees were the beta testers.
