Hiyas,
Kinda of a Newbie here. I have most everything setup and playing well but the MAP is "kickin' my butt!!
Example:
Someone says we need fighters at V-33. My problem is that I can't find V-33!! I know this may sound dumb but it's my problem. Is there a good tutorial on the MAP somewhere?
More Q's
1. What do the green and red Bars indicate?
2. What causes a field to flash?
3. I see different dots like with a "C" in them?
4. I see fields with a tank symbol?
You all get the idea. Any and all help would be much appreciated.
One other question: It seems that any plane I fly compresses awfully easily in a dive. I end up losing many plane parts and "Lawn Dart" it in. Very much different than any other SIMM I've played. Example I thought that the P-51D with a notch of flaps could almost dive straight down. Am I doing something wrong? I have been using the spiral dive with a bit more success, but thought I'd ask.
Thanks again.....

Check this out for a good explanation of the map.

That's from netaces.org... a great site for learning about the game.
When somebody says they need help at a certain base, try typing ".move 59" into the text buffer. If 59 is a friendly base, you'll find yourself in the tower.
As for your diving problems... are you diving straight down with full power on? I'm no history buff, but I doubt that any prop plane can take a full-power 90 degree dive for very long.
Hope this answers your questions. Just ask if something needs more explanation.

Ahhhh! Great! Just what the doctor ordered :)
Sorry to be misleading. No not trying to dive staright down. Maybe a 45deg angle, Ok maybe 60 deg :) Just seems like the plane compressed very rapidly. Sounds like everything is acting as programed. I have to reprogram.
Thanks Tarmac for the site and the info.
