Also, I'd like to know if "Killshooter" will be turned off as well : Imagine the fllowing scenario :
A flight of B26 is entering the airspace above the field at 20K alt. We have scrambled some fighters & they are attacking the buffs...
A- Will the ack stop shooting when friendly fighters will be around ? (I doubt it)
B- Will it possible for friendly fighters to be Hit by their own Heavy ack ?
C-Me hopes that 88 will not be laser guided, as I have been enjoying turning Bish Dar down lately (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/tongue.gif)

I'm pretty sure that I recall from HT or Pyro interview in the arena this week end that ack can damage friendlies too.
As far as the ack stop shooting when u scramble, I don't know.

FWIW, the German pilots understood quite well that the gunners on the ground would fire with wild abandon at bomber formations, irregardless of whether a stray Luftwaffe plane happened to be mixed in amoung them. Standard practice was for the LW fighters to break off their attacks as the bomber stream entered the flak envelope, and go around to the other side and wait for them to emerge. Heavy ack is sort of like naval mines...once it leaves the barrel, it's an equal opportunity killer. Even over your own airfields you weren't completely safe from your own ack. More than one pilot was fragged by an over eager gunner on the ground.
As for the barrage question, that's a good one. The Germans mixed it up, with some batteries firing simultainious barrages (a "flak box") while others simple fired independently within a battery. I'd like to see a random mix of both.

CC Rojo, am with you on that one, however, I just read in a Book on British raids on Berlin that at somepoints the nightfiters would pursue the attack on the Buffs in the middle of the Ack...and there was A LOT of that !....<shrug...scary>

I asked HiTech about the 88mm Flak and he said it will damage friendlies. Still don't know about the other ack etc.

the current ack will kill friendly aircraft if you happen to be in the way
slid a goon into A33 with a tank sittin about 700yds from the map room and got the capture (he was shooting at another tank, guess he forgot about me in the area)
started getting pinged after the capture, but he was still shooting at our tank. Then I die and he gets the kill.

More to the point, will the ack be as omniscent? Will we be able to come in at tree-top level and suprise the AA for the first pass, or can use the airfields hangers and such to mask myself from some of the guns?
