Hi

If we all think the osti is bad and encourages dweebish behavior, imagine what a terror this thing would be.

thanks GRUNHERZ

Personally, there was a version similar to the Ostwind but it mounted x4 20mm cannons which I would prefer.

To me it would be a much more useful anti-aircraft weapons, with its multiple guns and higher rate of fire.

The only thing I can hit with the Ostwind are aircraft that are flying straight towards me.

Wilberwind. It had 4 20mm mauser MG151/20s.

We already have M16. It has more firepower

Hitting planes with the Ostwind isn't that hard. Kinda like shooting Geese in the big swamp. Only difference was that the Honkers never shot back!   (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

The problem GRUNHERZ is that we all don't think it is bad.

I's not the Vehicle it's the pilot.

Hey Ram - you might want to try something original once in a while....
if the joke is this easy to anticipate - it quickly becomes boring...

RAM,
more blah, bla, blah.  Germans are porked, Allies are Uber.

Why don't you try to come up with something new.  Find something that is under modeled about a non-German aircraft or over modeled about a German aircraft and report it.

I wonder if you can.

In both cases, DRAG EFFECTS!

Hi

RAM the Wirbelwind mounted Flak38s which are completly different and unrelated 20mm cannon to the MG151/20.
O BTW how did this thread become one about drag modeling???   (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

thanks GRUNHERZ

Did I.  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Oh well.

RAM, you intentionally misunderstood my challenge.  You reported that non-German aircraft are overmodeled in how streamlined they are, the efficiency of their airfoils and how German aircraft are under modeled in those areas.

Report a way that a non-German aircraft performs worse than it should or a way in which a German aircraft performs better than it should.

Preferably on a high end aircraft, not a Spitfire MkV, C.202 or A6M5b.

I'm still not sure you can.

There are so many flaks wagons that mounted the FlaKvier38's too...nice long range, high ROF uber guns  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

SPW-151/17's, Mobelwagons, Whirlwinds, Flakpanzer 38, etc...all with a much better gun an platform then the Ostwind...and with much higher production numbers.

Btw I have a source that at some time, the Ostwind mounted 37mm Flak43/60 guns (out of a 40 vehicle conversion cycle...hehe)
