Title: Anyone using AOL?

I have a friend who is using AOL and will probably soon be opening an account. Are there any problems with connecting through AOL?

If I remember right, AOL has a 30 min (or is it 60 min) timer, that will kick you out of games. At least it use too.

Plus connections from AOL dialups are typically very poor for online games.

He can at least try though, and I don't want to dissuade your friend from joining AH  :)

I tried several ISPs on my 56k a while back and AOL had the worst ping to HTC.

I rarely use it for AH but every once in a while I cant get through on AT&T. I'd say they're bout even. I've never had a problem beyond the normal dial up frustrations. They had a 45 min dump back in the AW on AOL days but I haven't noticed it ever flying AH...never been dumped yet.

AOL sucks
MSN sucks
56k modem sucks. If you have to dial up use earthlink. I played online games with it, no problem
