FALSE.
A breath of fresh air for sure, but not "excitement". And green terrains always better than desert terrains I find.

The new map is great for GV fighting! I like it, and I can't wait for the first time a band of PT boats comes sweeping down a river and out into the ocean to fight off a cocky CV.
-
and said cocky CV uses Cruisers and kills all the PT Boats in one shot
-
wouldn't know. I can't play.
-
I always ask for new maps, so thumbs up for the new map. Although a few less mountains would be nice.

I'm a flatlander.....I LIKE mountains :D !

If you mean the Finnish map...yes..
the other one looks nice too

True.
Very pleased. Much easier on the eyes, terrain nicely varied, yet not "mythical" in proportions (at least what I saw so far.) Is especially great to see and fight through X3D glasses.. lol, go ahead, say what ya will, but when the config is right, the effect is unbelievable, and the more pleasant color palette of the new map adds to the pleasure.

it sure beats mindanao

this map is to big no need for team work just a stuggle to fined action ,need to much fuel, this map sucks worse than pizza ,atleast pizza could be reset, playing action flight sims sould be action and fun this map has neither, sure the makers spent lots time but what is the need for huge maps they suck, ill give all players less than 2 weeks to be squeaking like i am. quiting account seems like the option ,then back in 6 month maybe the map will be reset by then

I like it, always a big CV battles going on somewhere. Also places for gv war. Plenty of diversity, I was able to find nice place to even fight 109e4 end of session this AM. If you not finding kind of fight you looking for, you just aren't looking hard enough.

Don't forget about the 120 hours I spent working on this terrain, and the 40 hours Nate spent on the textures. ;)
-
Most definitely an excellent team effort :)

Well, it goes without saying that we all hold you both in the highest esteem and are most thankful for your contributions ongoing and to date....as a matter of fact, I withdraw my previous compliment directed towards NB and now offer my full thanks to you and Nate only.
Now how's that for some good ol fashioned butt kissin?
:)

That's not his nose!! That's John's last meal!!! :D
Overall, I am pleased with the responses. It seems that most of the complaints have been about the size. That is an HTC thing and has nothing to do with the design of the map. You want smaller, more historical maps? Try the CT, I have been having a blast there for the last 4 or 5 weeks :) .

This new map kiks ass
only 1 thing i wan tto see...
No more running over broken house death to Tiger crap...but thats a damage model thing i know...

WTG NB, Superfly, Natedog
Will be a hard to reset map--may reduce the need to up into 35 diving heavy fighters at one of your 2 last bases available :)
Mountain pass flying is fun, nothing like hunting around a mountain :)
I am sure the diehard GV'ers have a ball with it
Places to furball, places to milkrun, places to PT
Think you guys prob put a lot of time and effort in and deserve a thank you for adding to the gameplay
THANKS
NwBie

I forgot to mention that 2 ca's in a task group is a very nice touch. Could I make a suggestion of making 2 ports per task group. One CV group and one assault group. The assault group consisting of 1 or 2 CA's. It's been mentioned b4 and it's so not have to bring the CV so close to shore. The hard work is appreciated.

The 2 CA's are there to help 'balance' things a bit. In each sea, one country has 2 fleets and the other only has 1. The country with 2 fleets should only have 1 CA per fleet. Sort of an attempt at asymetrical balance :) .

What's a NOOB to do? Yes very very nice map and terrain, but I also like the map in the CT arena. Decisions, decisions!! Ahh well, guess I'll just have to play'em both 50/50. Dang! What a bad deal!

Love this terrain... very well thought out Airfield Placements and Spawn points. Very fun flying through the mountains to head to a base in a mission what a great sight!
Overall fantastic map

Although a few less mountains would be nice.
I think the mountains are great. I had to do a long distance goon trip because all our bases close to the target were without drunks. The flight took almost 30 minutes and I had some close calls where I barely made it over ridges and took some nice screen shots of my goon flying through the mountains. Almost like flying the "Hump". And on a secondary note, I did deliver the drunks and capture the base.
I'm going to love prowling in these mountains looking for bogs.
:D

True
Love the map so far. Only played out of two or three bases last night, but I had no trouble finding the type of fight I was in the mood for. Should be interesting taking and defending some of the bases due to the unique terrain features in this map. Also interested in seeing how a reset will fall into place considering the layout.
Terrain looks great, hats off to HTC.
