Post by: Dux on February 07, 2003, 12:35:39 PM: ...So I'm sitting at my computer this morning, drawing away, when Jason from the mailroom comes in, looking for his uncle (my coworker).

"He just went home, some kind of emergency" I told him.

"Awww, damn" he says "I need to have something scanned... can you help me?"

"Sure, whattya got?"

"It's a cartoon I drew. It's going onto a webpage somewhere"

"Sure" I said, "I'll scan it for you"

As we walk to the scanner I look at the cartoon. It's a pretty funny drawing of someone whining like a baby, holding a pacifier. Below it is the label "Moose".

I chuckle to myself. I know a Moose. They must be everywhere.

"So who is this?" I ask.

"A kid from my hockey league" he answers.

Something inside me very quietly goes *click*.

"That's funny, I know a kid named Moose who's big-time into hockey" I offer.

"Oh, you wouldn't know this guy, he's my age, plus he lives on the Cape or something" he replies.

Something inside me once again goes *click*, this time very loudly.

"Uuhhh... his name wouldn't be Adam, would it?" I ask, knowing the answer already.

"Yeah, I think it is! There's a webpage where we could check it"

Two minutes later, it's confirmed. It's our beloved "Moose" alright.

So, Moose... what makes you think you can do 80 mph through the Tobin tunnel, when it's clearly marked 35?

Muahahahahahahahahaha.....

everyone squeakes about the refs. when i do, they jump on my case

everyone squeakes about how their stats don't get taken down right. i try to open up a discussion on how to get better statkeeping for the commish, i get jumped on

on tuesdays there was a squad that was (and still seems to be i guess) pretty much loaded. killin teams each week by 10-15 goals. i got into it with their captain about how he wasn't helping anyone else out. when they jumped on me that time, i guess i deserved it.

comes down to the fact i'm the whipping boy on the forum. can't do no good no matter how hard i try. and of course it effects hockey too, because now it's at the point where i can't draw a penalty to save my life. i get hammered left and right but since it's me, there's no call. go figure.

i guess i've been too short tempered lately for my own good. janurary was a bad month for me vehicular wise: 2 accidents, a stupid ticket, and a load of bs concerning my other major traffic violation. guess i shoulda kept off message boards. i have no energy to squeak about all the things that piss me off over here because i use it all up on their forums. :D

and i wasn't going 80 through the tobin!

edit: the guy who runs the league and does that website is hilarious too. if you guys want some more laughs (hopefully not about me) read some of the recaps from the tuesday league season.

i'm still chucklin over this. wish i had seen the thread before going up for the saturday playoffs yesterday. jay's gonna get it on tuesday night, my team just happens to be facing his.

I mean really... what are the odds that I would have known the person in the cartoon? Only time I ever met Moose in person was in TX last year.

Moose, I've.... *ahem* ... got some dirt on Jay, if you're interested. You're probably not, are you? Never mind.... taking the high road would be the best thing to do, huh?
