Title: A venture into the CT..
Post by: poopster on February 09, 2003, 03:31:00 PM: I logged in and being I have leather in the closet from former days, I dusted them off and grabbed a G10.

It's a 109, I used to fly'um way back when, and old friend..

Took off and climbed to the clouds to do my part for the Fatherland..

I got up REALLY high, above the clouds. Gonna sneak in an out of them and pounce on the ruskies in their pathetic La7's..

I hate Lags.

So peakin in an out, when I was REALLY high, I let the yaks go..

I want to kill a Lag..

Sure enough, I see a dot headed my way lower. I'm stayin close to the clouds cuz that Lag will never see what hit him. Death from above. His life will be suddenly snuffed out..

It's a Lag..

WHOOT !!!

Just him and me, and I'm in the clouds...

He's right below me now..jeez this is gonna be sweet..

I put her in a dive trying to contain my excitement..

Down I come as the poor bastage just toodles along oblivious to his inpending doom..

Closing in now...

..and he jinks a tad to the left..

As I go screaming by..

I don't recall if it was before my left wing came off or not..

hey...your wing came off. okay. bad enough. but at least he didn't hit you and YOU fall to pieces while HE flies away. :)

Nearly everytime I fly a Bf109G-10 after a long hiatus I end up compressing and dying.

That's because you forgot to spend an hour in the decompression chamber before taking off:). You obviously died of nitrogen poisoning.

Post by: JB42 on February 11, 2003, 10:22:51 AM: well poopster if its any consulation i had a similar thing happen to me. I dove down form 23k on a La7 at about 17-18k. He gave me a little juke and had the nerve to follow me down. I took a few hits as I started gain seperation (right flap and gear). But that LaGG was intent on getting me. His fire started to miss me high. Im guessing his controls are getting sluggish and is unable to get a good shot on me. At 6k, i chop my throttle, trim the elevator all the way up and crank back. In the darkness of my blackout I hear the joyful sound of an explosion. As the fog clears I see buildings whizzing past me as I skim the ground. Not sure how I missed them but i did. Oh yea, in the text buffer I see i have shot down (we'll leave the poor checkertail's name out of it).
