Is this as big in your neck of the woods as it is here? I mean it was the top story on every station this morning. (Most of the local TV news where I live originates in LA.)

Not a peep. But then I don't watch much t.v.
-
the news programs are making noise but I'm not listening. couldn't care less. I watch what I want and like whatever I like. what do I care what some showbiz type thinks I should like.

i heard saddam tried to get the oscar show moved to bagdad, he loves hollywood actors.

heard something about it on stern's show.... Looks like they will select a bunch of chick flicks for awards.

LoTR won't get stuff all again, its that rule about movies produced overseas that haul in loads of money but aren't made in hollywood.
Fek it we need a UN Resolution on the Oscars.

If LotR gets anything, I bet it will be after the last movie is released.

Agreed. No matter which one is the best of the 3.
People who were unfamiliar with the books seemed to like Two Towers better than Fellowship. I felt just the opposite.

agreed midnight
I enjoyed both, but the first one was much more true to the book

I noticed this too. I liked Fellowship better too... but I think everything would work even better if watched as one straight movie.

I haven't read the books yet, and I did like the second one better than the first.

I liked the first better. It had stuff like acting, character development and a story as well as some action.
The second one was just one action sceene after another. Bleah.
