Title: will 'pilot killed' planes just blew up ?

it would be great to be able to see a pk'ed plane keep on flying as they did in RL. and also planes left to themselves by bailed out pilots burning they way to the ground instead of just blowing up. i believe this is hwo it looks in WarBirds offline for instance, the icon changes color to white and the plane cant be shot at again, but it looks way better then an explosion...

just an idea :)

I agree.  I've been wanting this in AH for some time now.

It would be nice to finally see the streamers a-la SWOTL where the poor bugger plummets to earth in his bullet riddled chute.  How would you like to go back to training after getting shot down and your chute straffed to boot :D

And before you get all upset and flame me...remmeber that you wanted AH2 to be as real as possible.  There are many documented cases of pilots being killed in their chute after bailing out, so if you are a "purist" it should be included and modelled in the game.

HT did mention a long time ago that he'd like to introduce this feature in AH, perhaps AH2 is the right time?

will be used, I suspect.   But yeah, it would be nice to have that feature as well.

Question: How would the game handle a pilot pk'd while on autopilot?

auto pilot should disengage, simple enough?:)

What plane was it where you were ment to kick the stick forwards to fling you out of the cock pit?

a majority of the high walled fighters (those without doors in the side)  Like the 38, 47, 51, most navy planes.

The adopted method of going off a wing kept getting guys hit by the elevator, so man being a beast of nature, he adapted to going over the nose first.  Followed later by wearing crash helmets.:p
