Our response involves far more than instant retaliation and isolated strikes. Americans should not expect one battle, but a lengthy campaign, unlike any other we have seen. It may include dramatic strikes, visible on television, and covert operations, secret even in success. We will starve terrorists of funding, turn them one against another, drive them from place to place, until there is no refuge or rest. And we will pursue nations that provide aid or safe haven to terrorism. Every nation, in every region, now has a decision to make. Either you are with us, or you are with the terrorists. From this day forward, any nation that continues to harbor or support terrorism will be regarded by the United States as a hostile regime.

Hello, France... Mr. Chirac.. hello? HELLO....
"Sir, France is not answering...."
"Good."

Terrorism is the ugly war of the weak. If u would be grown up in Palestina I wont be suprised if u'ld become a terrorist supporter. We'll NEVER win the war vs. terrorism if we use brute force. But we could win if we fight the reasons - poorness and suppression.
BTW where is Osama? Didnt ur beloved Uncle Bush promised to catch him - naahhh forget it, there's a new war to be fought...

Like maybe removing a terror sponsor like saddam, who uses poverty and suppresion to control Iraq?
BTW where is Osama? Didnt ur beloved Uncle Bush promised to catch him -
I take it you actually give a damn if we catch him?? And when we do, will you be in the crowd clamoring for his neck to be stretched by a rope or will you be hollering for his release?
naahhh forget it, there's a new war to be fought...
Same war. Or don't you get news thats not filtered thru Franco-Prussian Appeasment Press?

Yup. But not just me. It's "We".
Not as in 'Me and You'..
Rather, it's 'Franco-Prussian Obstructionist Policy vs Elimination of Terror Sponsoring and Supporting Regimes'.
You don't get it do yah.. With us.. or against us. You've picked the side your on, and refuse to debate the facts laid out by the Secretary of State. Instead you puppet the same old protectionist apologist policy. To the French and Germans, Saddam Hussein is more credible than Colin Powell.
'Wilde Sow'
Wild pigs. How very appropriate..
and, thanks for the correction.

You mean like the oppresive Muslim governments in most Middle Eastern countries? Maybe your country can but the libs will never stand for it here.

It sure worked on Hitler.

If there's anyone out there anywhere who thinks the search isn't going on 24/7/365 they are seriously mistaken. Trust me on this one.
And if you think we can't "multi-task"....... :D
He's good at hiding, you have to give him that.
But he'll slip up... they always do.
If he's really still alive and if the tapes are really "him" (you'd think there'd be a new video of him holding a current newspaper or something.to "rally the troops")
And we'll be listening and we'll eventually get him.
IF he's still alive.

Yes it worked (thankfully) but wont work on religous fanatics.
As I stated in another post my problem is not that the USA with his allies will probably start a new war. My problems with this issue are:
1. The war should be startet by the UN and no one else (and i guess it will).
2. People (countries) that have a different thinking of when and how a war is legal are viewed as enemies of the USA. They are viewed as enemies by Mr. Bush himself and viewed as enemies by u guys here and bashed in countless posts. How do u differ from the the religous fanatics when u sometimes post the same fanatic crap?

This is decentralised, multi-national, cultural terrorism tied to no particular state. The war against it is not like WW2.

Maybe a Technical school in Hamburg.......ya never know.

Not only is it not like WW2 but remember that there are terrorist groups and there are governments that support them. Two different entities. Two types of war.
Also these terrorists and their supporters are not enemies of the USA only. Evidence is in the dead of 9/11 and Bali. Those weren't just American's who were murdered.
Germany and France may have different criteria for beginning a war based on financial arrangements with the country in question but still I have no doubt that terrorists will kill their people just as soon as people from any other country that isn't fanatically Islamic.
Don't try to pass this off as a U.S. only problem or a U.S. only solution. Whether we have 'full' UN support or not, we are not acting alone.

Hangtime - FWIW I agree with you 100%. But at the same time, I think you're a bit of a tard and so it was nice to come in here and see you getting your butt kicked. :D:D:D
Mr. Toad is spot on. They WILL get OBL, if he's not already dead. I've got my doubts about whether he is alive. Although the CIA has his voiceprint, and could presumably compare it with the audio recordings.
The CIA mounted an incredible effort to track down Ramzi Youssef - original bomber of the WTC in 1993. He was arrested by the FBI in Pakistan. The way they tracked him down reads like a modern day Agatha Christie thriller novel. I don't think even Hercule Poirot could equal it. I read all about it in a paperback book called "Taleban" or something like that - lent it to a friend who failed to return it.
If I can find the details I'll post them in another thread.

Except with the case of Hitler, you clearly knew who to shoot.
They didn't hide their Kar98's into ditches somewhere outside the city and blend into normal peace loving citizens during their part time.
No, they wore distinctive uniform and definately didn't allow their soldiers to throw away the guns and uniforms so they could be able to hide in normal people and come out the next week for the strike.

Nah, OBL cant be at a school in Germany - the economy is in such great shape that no one can afford to hire instructors. Isnt the link between domestic and international politics facinating?
