Looks like Germany is the vasall of USA.
What Donald 'Little Caesar' Rumpelfeld said about 'Ole Europe' and 'France and Germany are nearly the same as Lybia and Kuba' was ignorant, impudent and uncovering.
Had expecteted a much more harsch response from german politicians. Damned cowards :D
Regards Blitz
A very big country can never be an honest frient to a small country. Friendship will only last as long as both have the same interests, than big one will use it's force, politically first, than economecally.

Blitz, I'm not sure what happened to prompt your comments.. I'm switching on the news now.

Switch that around.. A small country must be an HONEST friend to its nominal allied big country sponsor and protector and honor it's treatys and agreements.. or it will lose is political and economic stability in a toejam storm of reprisals. At the very least.

Germans have no balls
====
And lets KEEP IT THAT WAY!
Last thing this world needs is a bunch of "blue eyed, blond haired greater than thou's" running amok. I sense they know this :)
As far as France is concerned:There is NO CONCERN with France.
Japan OTOH would be a great military friend in the Asia region. They at least have their balls in the RIGHT PLACE! (and could whip Chinas ass, North Koreas bellybutton AND All of Islam with both hands tied behind their backs, and we all KNOWS THIS.
Make it so NUMBER ONE! Besides, they OWE US BIG TIME :)

Tom DeLay is trying a more personal approach.
"I was at a celebration of India's Independence Day," he told reporters, "and a Frenchman came walking up to me and started talking to me about Iraq, and it was obvious we were not going to agree.
And I said, 'Wait a minute. Do you speak German?' And he looked at me kind of funny and said, 'No, I don't speak German.' And I said, 'You're welcome,' turned around and walked off."

I think it is reprehensible that we should continue to harrange certain eunchpean dicklomatic diddlysionaries with obilqe refrences to alleged obligations from previous strenuous military negotiations we succesfully concluded to their unwarranted advantage back in the 1940's.
He should have said "Ah. Pity, that. Perhaps this is due to another premature ill-concieved unwanted and unwarranted american military mis-adventure?"
