Hi guys
One thing I've always wanted to see in AH is proper airfield layouts with peri-tracks (to the end of the runways), dispersals, bomb dumps, hangars at the technical site etc.
Q. How difficult would it be? I haven't a clue in all honesty!
Here are some disused airfields in England that were used in WW2:-
The one below is Bassingbourn, where the Memphis Belle was based (and where Full Metal Jacket was filmed!). The red lines show where the runways would have been.

Another airfield (Langar)

Another... (North Luffenham)

Another... (Newton)

I can get more zoomed in pics if it will help?
Thanks for your time! :)

Wow now that would be cool!

Obviously the above are 'large' 3 runway airfields, but here's a medium field, 2 runway.

It wouldn't be hard at all.
It would be a little more work if it didn't fit in a 1 mile X 1 mile square!
Most of it would be a painted skin.
As for structures, we can only work with what we have.
I think the main reason that the original Fields are used is because they already have a Field Map Layout built into the game.
At the moment we can't add a Field Map Layout Bmp to our Terrains .res files. It would have to be a seperate file that players would need to find and download.
Would be nice if you could include stuff like this or even a Terrain Description file to give some information about the Terrain from the person who made the terrain.
