Hey folks


Back in the old days they used to get someone from the community to make a logo or patch for an upcoming sceniaro.. I remember we had one for Kiel back in '96 and another for Solomans campaign in '97' I believe..

I am working on the Slot map revision with three other guys.. We are currently skinning all kinds of little stuff.. roads.. buildings etc.. Even the clock.. here, take a look.

So I'm hoping one of you artists out there is without tasking at the moment and can take up this challenge..

I'm thinking it should be a circle... like a leather jacket shoulder patch... Should have American flag on one side.. Japanese rising sun on the other... and two planes slugging it out in the middle..
Top should read Guaddacannel - Operation Watchtower.. kinda wraps around like word art?.. The bottem should read Aces High '03 (text in gold)

And finally make it look like a real patch.. or patch like material. Guessing that would have to be layered on..

What do you get?.. besides being eyeballed by the terrain team.. besides getting whatever ride you want in upcoming sceniaro.. Your artwork goes on all kinds of stuff.. the registration page, the sceniaro write up page,.. the score page.. Heck, it even goes in the map.. I found a panel by the doorway of tower that would be a great place for it.

WARNING:  I'm like Phil Spector on these kind of terrain projects..

well I do make patches for a living:) Once done I have a program that will convert it to look like a patch ( for showing customers, Before you start sewing it out)

They want this map turned in by March 1st so you have plenty of time.

As soon as I get the interior tower panel back from Sqrl, I'll send that to you maybe you can fit it on there.

Wow...wtg poopster.  Very nice :)

Flossy...wasn't sure that you were correct, but I checked it and you are right.  Spelt just looks and sounds like some sort of small sardine-like fish. :)

Spelt is actually a grain, in the wheat family. It is an heirloom variety, not widely grown in modern agriculture, despite it's being higher in protein and B complex vitamins than typical varieties in use today. It's similar to barley in appearance and quite delicious. Just thought you might like to know that...nice work on the patch Poop! ;)

Yep, that's the other meaning - Triticum spelta - "an inferior species of wheat grown in mountainous parts of Europe".  Don't ya just love the English language?  :D

I'm glad you'all like it.

First shot at a patch, got a few hours in and I started thinking to myself...this isn't going to work..

Just kept plugging away and it came together.

Afraid to start fiddling with terrains. When I was doing skins at WB I never left my computer....for months..

And I know if I go "there" that's what will happen :)

Hmmm,
            Could it be "The Great Patch Match of '03" ? I can see it now... Nuttz vs. Nopoop... unmitigated balls meets unrelieved constipation. The winner is anyone's guess but it's bound to be messy! Coming soon to a scenario near you. :D

Naw... I got some more artwork for him. ;)

Nuttz working on 200+ base MA terrain plus Ohau for a Pearl Harbor thing.. so I'm trying to find out if he has time for a banner project.

Needs to be turned in by March 1st..
