is g4 mx 440 SE PCI the same as the g4 mx420 PCI?

I'm not 100% sure but if the markings go like with AGP cards, the 420 is a dog with SDRAM. It's as slow as Gf2 MX400.

The 440 should be quite a bit faster, but not blazing fast.

If you asked me, I'd tell you not to buy a MX card, invest to Gf2 ultra or Gf3 ti 500 even.

Edited for brainlapse: For PCI you're stuck with those.. D'oh!

cc i believe the 440mx much better than the 420..

I use a 440mx 64mb AGP, and it runs ah sweet..

70-125 fps in AH at 1024 32bit

(not in smoke tho never checked that)

I checked both of those  cards and it says that they both have 166 mhz video memory (LOL)

thank god i have radeon 7500 PCI.
