Hey there Grunherz,

I drove up to Kentucky from Florida to watch her fly. It was well worth the drive, and watching Glacier Girl take her first flight was spectacular! Here's a picture or two I took while I was there...

BTW, the History Channel was there filming her first flight, and they will be airing a special on the Glacier Girl on March 9th... Here's another picture with USfergy and I in front of her.

Is their a serial number on this gorgeous bird?  I can track this craft with serial number....when and where made, model etc.

Duh     went to website got serial no. 17630
P-38-F-1-LO
129 delivered between May 1942 to June 1942
