Title: Cool sounds for Aces High
Post by: Staga on July 28, 2000, 10:29:00 AM
I'm trying to collect better sounds for AH and would like to ask if you have one ?

Funked: Can I "loan" those radial sounds ?
Mitsu: Your PzkW sound is great, May I add it ?

More sounds please   (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

Only sounds I can get are 16litre diesels   (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif).
Page "born" last night and 'cause I'm at work now its little hard to update it.
Sounds of Ju-88,Mossie,Lanc,Me-109 and few other are there already but I need to build those links first.

[edit]uups... forgot the link... here (http://users3.50megs.com/staga)

Staga try link below. Large WB files but there are some cool sounds you can use. Just DL the soundpack into another folder, then pick and choose.

Funny. I was wondering about this same topic today. I use AKWabbits sounds, with Citabrias, the sounds Weasel had on his website, Mitsu's and several others. My folders are all a hodge podge of various sounds. And yet... I was wondering where to get more!!!!    (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)  I planned on looking in my WB's, EAW and WWII Fighters directories for ones I could cull and use. I do not have a web page but sounds being the one thing we folks CAN modify and offer to fellow AH pilots for use it would be really nice if someone could create a web page, a repository if you will, for sounds.

I'm downloading some of these sounds right now and upload them to that site next.

Ash, Right click the name of sound and choose "Save target as" (If I remember right, using Finnish IE5 here   (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif))

Got a party tomorrow but I'll try to put this thing up in this weekend (If I'm still able to do it   (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif))

Thank's for the links !

Staga

Edit: Site is hosted by 50megs and It's easy to get more space if needed.
If you know how to edit html-code and know how to manage sites like that and you would like to add more sounds by yourself let me know.
If I trust you enough I'll give you the password  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

Been working on some 109 engine sounds. I used a cockpit recording of a 109g2 starting and warming up. Same place Funked got his p47 sounds.

109g10.zip (http://www.simplemind.com/files/109g10.zip)

Startup, shutdown and eng run sounds.

I have removed the others since I didn't make them, they were what I had in my 109 sound folder when I zipped it up. The flap and gear sounds came from the Roboto Soundpack, some of the others might have been Brro's or Bradburgers warbird sounds. Been so long can't remember.

Site is up and looks like it works.
Still plenty of space for other sounds  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

My English isn't too good so maybe someone else could check spelling mistakes.
Also could use a short story how to use wav programs like wave-studio and gold-wave when making sounds. I have wavestudio which came with my old awe64 but someone else should do instructions  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Thank you Staga, and the rest as well.  I just pillaged most off the sounds.

Now if only I had a Lancaster and Ju88 to go with them...<sigh>  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

I've been meaning to send in a complete default sounds pack for regular sounds used for all aircraft which are as realistic as possible.. ie:

excellent "clink" drop tank/bomb release sound

emersive highspeed/hi g stress sound where the airplane creaks and rivets pop

flak that sounds like the thud described by aircrews

etc

I've also mixed up some flaps and gear sounds for the f4u/p47 and some others in wich the timing is precise... you hear the gear thump when it locks in followed by the racket of the doors closing behind them.

new hit sounds and damage sounds.

cool stuff you guys might.... er will like trust me  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif).

Hi all,

What software do you guys use to mix these sounds with.  I'd like to try and play around with some must sound recorder leaves a little to be desired.  Also I don't wanna spend any money on this so some freeware is what Im looking for.  Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Sharky
