Nice indeed, but why do the guns always look too small on scale models?

Because they are usually too big in computer games plus many modelers use oversized pitot tubes.

that guy is just sick good at painting scale models.

Pongo, admittedly I am not the best guy for a finish on a model, but that guy is just downright creative.   I had never seen that method before.
