the influx of new pilots is really helping me out. Landed my first 4 kill sortie last night in an N1K. Left flap gone and pilot wounded, but I got back to base and put it down.
I was in the swirling dog fight over A62. Happy to say none of those kills was a vulch, not that I have anything against vulching, or as I like to call it, assisted suicide.
-
I got my first six kill streak in the MA, mostly vulches over an airfield where we had air superiority. I think I'll start getting into medium level bombing, maainly to stay relatively high above fields and furballs, caues it chokes my computer.
-
Naj.... you no doubt are gettin better... but there is a lot of new folk around.... I pulled a 21 pelt run out of there last night..could have been 50, for all I know, but I was bored and logged.

WTG Naj I was there with ya but then got seperated in the maddness that was one hot field.I cant belive it was captured with all those enemy a/c around.
I was in a 190D was B&Zing all in sight but no kills everytime I latched on to someones six there was a p51 breathing down my six I did have the perfect kill shot on a spit14 just as I was gonna pull the trigger he snaped out of the way. Was lucky to RTB with all the high p51's and spits.
I did notice a few spits stalling and tumbling to earth must be quite a few noobs on these days.

I was having a pretty good run last night myself. I landed several 4 and 5 kill sorties and was having a great old time. But then I ran into F6bomber in his Yak and he put an end to my kill streak promptly. I reuped and ran into him again, he would of definitely killed me that time too but he ran out of ammo. The dude just flat out schooled me.
After those two humbling little experiences we went into the DA and he beat up on me some more. But he did show me a couple of little tricks on how to defeat his sucker punch:)
I've been playing these MMP flight sims for almost four years now and I consider myself a slightly above average stick. But I always make an effort to throw my ego out the door and learn from those that have the real skills. In the long run it works out in my favor.
Thanks f6bomber

Yea, A62 was a mess, I got in trouble a couple times but there were so many on the scene that the guys tailing me had to pull off or got scraped off before they could get a shot opportunity.
21 kills in one sortie, My god man, retire.

lol Steve, I was there when you landed that. Made me feel hopeless
-
LOL Udet...hopeless? I'm a no skill dweeb from what I hear on the radio so a streak like that must be easy to obtain. Of course, getting something like that in a spitty or f6 would be really hard huh?
-
I think I found the record for most kills, which was scored by Jansk (pretty sure). I was roaming around in my Dora when all of a sudden I see "Jansk landed 55 ( ) kills in a Tiger I"

Sure would be, compared to a mustang.
-
I did ok myself. Even landed 3 kills in a p38, a plane I hardly ever fly (going to do some more though, I like it) Been trying out different planes in search of "the one". Just trying to find my niche. I have over 150 kills this tour in an osti though!
-
Kev.. that's in a gv... spawn campin will do that for ya :)
Ya Montezuma.. I think ya'd have to be pretty darned good.. a little luck wouldn't hurt either. Heck 21 in anything would take some luck... doncha think?

I think MZ's point is that it takes a lot more luck in some planes than in others.

Really? I thought he was insinuating it is easy in a pony, if not routine. I just wanted to see if that's what he really meant.

Thats how a interpeted that statment to steve.

Yep you never see slow planes land 20+ kills. after you get into the furball and lose alt them nikis and spits cant run home like a dora,la7, or P51 could

Its not easy in a pony, but it would be much more difficult in a spit or hellcat.
-
ya, I agree.
I think it could be done.. offensive and cherry picking in a spit... ya wouldn't have to "run" anywhere.. just disengage and head for re-arm pad... rinse and repeat.
Much harder than in E plane for sure.
Hey Todd.. what's the most ya ever ran off in a spittY?
-
My best score in a slow plane was about 14 or 15, in my deeply beloved FM2. Couldn't land them though, the carrier was gone when I had to return. I admit is was mostly vulching but on a good day I routinely fly 3-4 kill sorties in it. Maybe I should try to get a 10+ streak by reloading (I like to swith planes al the time) but I have to face that I'm not good enough.
-
I got one in a row.

In a single sortie without rearming, my best is 14. My best with a rearm is around 22 I believe, though I didn't land that one.

Hehe Kevin, almost. :D
I think it was OverBKil actually with his tiger. I only managed
34 in my panzer IV.
errrmm OverBKil report for hemohes check please! :p

I got 21 landed in a G-10 the other day.
43 perks
-
The record stands at 285 by Fishu, I believe. Yes you read that right 285.
My record is 20 in the Yak-9U.
-
Landed 12 for one flight in a 190A8, no vulches. Record for perks for me on this flight at 54.
Landed 14 in an F4U-1D with vulches, one flight.
Rearming I think 18 in an La-5 is my best.
Had many other two digit kill sorties landing and otherwise.
