AW died and the influx of degenerates was a clear sign of trouble to come. Now the policing of the BBS has become non-existant and any night you log in you hear the vagina monologue on channel 1 and channel 2. You might as well turn the language filter off because it doesnt stop anything.

HT has been taking my money for over 2.5 years and that was when it was 30 a month. Why should he give back the money that was won in a contest??? I agree with him on this it has gotten out of hand and I only see it getting worse. Never flew AW so I can't say anything bad about it but I know it started getting worse when a certain flight sim went under. Just my .02 cents. I came from FA its still out there isn't it???

I for one am getting rather tired of being lumped in with the 12 year olds (both physical and mental age) who I agree are causing issues on Chan 1.
If you are going to make sweeping generalisations at least back it up with SOME proof. I flew FR in AW and the community there was VERY strong and VERY mature. I had a difficult adjustment to AH because there was a great deal more trash talk in one week on the open channel and country channels than I ever saw in 3.5 years of AW.
If this is a troll consider me hooked, but until you can start behaving like a reasoning adult human being you may wish to consider keeping it zipped.
Oh and yes I know you can shoot me down at will Voss/Gpreddy/whatever you are called this week, but I don't care. I play this GAME because I have made friends and I enjoy their company while playing this GAME.
Yours is just one loud grumpy voice. If you don't like the game any more take a break and get some perspective, try another game. Please just stop being so damn annoying.

I am an AW refugee. My first impression of the general population of AH was that there were many rude, vulgar people, something I rarely exprienced in AW. In fact, ch1 is such a cesspool that I wrote a squelch macro that I run as soon as I get in the game. Perhaps as the game grew from the first 5 people the unwashed hordes of degenerates have brought with them vulgarity and rudeness, but don't blame AW players.

I agree 100% with you bockko, when i came to AH a year and a half ago this was a whole new world.. So many insults So many whines So many egos...Happily with time i have grown into what i am today, i choose to squelch all the "kids" that seem unstopabble in this virtual world of ours..
IMO i have had the pleasure of flying with some of the best gentleman from AW, and those times will never be forgotten.

Ive never seen excessive levels of foul language in AH in the whole 3 years ive been here.
However i like many others HAVE seen a few idiots making an bellybutton of themselves and sometimes upsetting people.
Every time a customer has had an issue with someone HTC has acted according to the rules they laid down in the game agreement.
If you continue to upset players and they decide to report you to HTC and they decide it warrents a ban you will be banned. And changing to another email wont work as they can track your ISP numbers.
GPreddy if you REALLY feel this is ruining your game Whenever you see something you dont like record the event and send the film to HTC. Why do you need to AIR your dirty laundry here and make it look as if foul language is the norm when it clearly isnt.
widewing send that picture to HTC privately and id bet they would do something about it.Make an advert of it on the BBs and i think it will only upset them.By posting like this these people get what they want ie a rise out of people.Keep this stuff private i say.

Voss, or whoever you think you are, you were one of the worst abusers I have ever seen on chan 1. I believe it was shortly after we had a pissing match on chan 1 and you got muted by the MA censor that you changed your name and how you spoke on channel 1. I'd call you a hypocrite but I think much less of you. It's my view that HT and many others no you're full of crap and don't care much what you think. I for sure don't. Go get yourself real life sonny. This is only virtual reality.

I'm from AW as well as MANY people in here. Ok, OK, I screwed the pooch a few times on the BBS, still never said ANYTHING remotely negative about the game, But you don't hear me spout off in the game.
Lumping the cause to Aw'ers is just out of line.

Yea, Air Warrior was a great game with a very strong community until the cooperate weasils at EA got their money grubbing hands on it. :mad:
AW and AH has both had their times and places, Aw then, AH now.

Degenerates? GP... don't blame the current problem on AW vets.
Pay close attention: If you never bring in more people, eventually the game will decline into non-existance as the users move on for various reasons. It simply has to. Not everyone will play forever...as people leave new people must be brought in to bolster declining numbers. You don't have to like it, but it's a fact.
The so called "degenerates" are a nice revenue stream for HTC and help ensure that the game you play here lives on. I think it is foolish of anyone to curse the AW'ers. I like you GP.. but you are way off base here. BTW, I'm an AW'er...I could be a degenerate I guess... but I hardly represent the bulk of AW'ers behavior.

GPreddy, I am extremely disappointed to hear you say that. :( As a former Air Warrior myself, I strongly object to us being called degenerates.... every game has its "bad apples", and I'm sure AW had no more than any other. I have lots of friends here, including many former AWrs, and resent us being grouped together in this way.
AW died well over a year ago now, and I was one who stayed right to the bitter end. It broke my heart when the game I had been playing for the previous 3.5 years, and had grown to love, was taken from me.... and I know I was not alone.
However, I had already been playing AH for eight months before this happened, so the transition between games was not so difficult for me and, like many others, I soon made Aces High my new home. This kind of sweeping statement against Air Warriors really hurts. :(

Despite being told in no uncertain terms by my Warbirds friends that all the ex AW types in Aces High eat their children, I have found them to be a good bunch :)
I agree on the ch .1 stuff though, it can get bad, which is why I squelch it.
Also, its not just the language, its the anger, and the general unfriendliness that permeates it that makes me squelch 1, in the MA and the CT both. Some folks apparently play AH to fly some and talk trash a lot, they need an angry peoples chat room or something. I guess I can dream. In the meantime .squelch 1

The tone of nastiness was set here right from the beginning and has gotten steadily worse from then on. Do a search for a thread tiltled "Where's the hate" which was posted here before gameplay even began...you'll see what I mean.

Every community has it's bad apples AW/AH/WB/FA or WW2OL and it's almost a full time job itself to track these players and take the appropriate steps and Hitech Creations has done just a good job at this as any other company behind the online sims I've played. I have not encountered much language at all in my time online in Aces High.
Flossy don't be upset by the moronic ramblings of GPreddy/Voss he's hardly led a life of virtue true himself and I for one am glad that someone of such good character like yourself is part of this community you have done so much yet ask for nothing in return but gained the respect of so many

Yeah AW FR was the community to beat.
AH has much more trashtalk that AW FR ever did. But the influx of
the RR community did bring a buncha macro peeling, raving,
teenage blabbermouths to AH. of course no all the RR community
had big mouths, just half of them and that was enuff...
P.S. if your tired of VOSS killing you just learn a lil SA.

I don't believe the death of AW has any bearing on the matter at ALL, and to imply that "any" influx of degenerates was due to AW closing is your own twisted imagination. The player base at AW was/is no different from what it is here, or in WBs.
You will get players who always push the the envelope of accepted behaviour in any mulitplayer game, and it is up to the game supervisors to advise, and educate players (especially new players) on the "norms" acceptable in "their" game, and if necessary ban those who continually breach the rules. How they apply those rules is entirely up to the Game owners.
There were considerable differences of what was considered the "norm" even between different arenas on AW, and probably that applies to AH too.
I have had a "little" experience on those issues. Personally I find AH in general less supervised than AW, whether that is good or bad I'm still mulling that over, but as I rarely pay attention to Chan 1 it don't bother me unduly, though the whining seems a much higher volume than I remember in AW. :)

I don't agree with you on this Gpreddy. I feel the problem is the free subs till march 15th. Example: I hear another debate raging on ch1(I will not mention names). Well, it blows over. Then about 2 min l8tr I see someone start on the same subject who was never part of the conversation before. I wait to see a response from the guys that were involved in the rant when it first started. Well, one of them isn't logged on, hmmmm.
Seems to me that old accounts are being used to dodge responsibility of what they say.
I think after march 15th things will quiet down....I hope.
But, in any event, you can always squelch.

Admittedly I don't fly all that much but I apparently don't see all this reported cussin' and swearin' on CH 1 when I do fly.
I see some chowderheads in "virtual ego" typing competitions and a few rare inane political discussions but that's about it.
Usually that stuff melts away under a bit of "suggestion" from the rest of the crowd to "take it to the O-Club".
I really don't see the end of the world on CH 1 very often.
Just me, I guess.

Everyone needs to calm down a bit....the trash on ch1 is due to immaturity...nothing new for online gaming....it is what it is and I'm sure Dale will deal with it.
Voss....if this truly bothers you then get a screenshot or film and email it to HTC...that's the correct method to improving our sim, not posting inflamatory remarks on the BBS....do you really think this adds anything positive to AH or even remotely begins to correct this problem?
The vast majority of AW refugees who are now flying AH regularily, add character and life to our sim....I'm glad they chose AH rather than not. Some have a love for macro's, but if that's the worst thing that happens to any of us, we're all going to be ok:)
Let HT deal with it...he's more than capable of handling this.
