Title: Torque and trims
Post by: fats on August 04, 1999, 04:28:00 AM
Will the torque effect be at full force in AH? Most anyone has seen the unfortunate F4U crash, and at least to me it looks that it flips at least partly due to torque once the nose rises.

Also another cool feature to add pilot work load would be to have fixed trim tabs on Bf 109 and Fw 190 and so on.

Torque is readily apparent in "that other sim"...Take a P-51 to full power and keep holding the stick all the way back, as it lifts off you'll get a first-person experience not unlike the OSH accident.

I do recall a discussion way back pointing out that some force( s ) were left out of the forces that cause the plane to roll when you slam the throttle in WB.
