Works great as long as games are new nuff to be compatible.  The oldest game I play on it is Falcon 4.0 from 1998, but not all games that old will work. BTW I have one box with Pro and one with Home and both same as far as games go.

Get W2k, it's like XP but without all the needless extra add-ons. Oh, and it's more secure too.

Depends really what Joystick combo you use, some older systems through a gameport don't work with XP.  CH FX stick, Fighterstick and Speedkeys are examples as both sticks need programming in speedkeys which is incompatible with XP. There are others, XP seems suited better for the latest USB device joysticks.

You can of course dual boot with Windows 98SE and XP and use both. Win98SE needs to be installed first though.  Old games are much better served through Windows 98SE plus it will even run old DOS games well with the right setup.  A clean windows 98SE setup can be very stable as long as the registry is not cluttered with junk.

I find XP great, no crashes whatsoever.  I use Cougar HOTAS & CH Pro pedals (USB) without any problems.

WinXP Pro is great, very stable.
Just like always, keep background tasks to a minimum.

Got XP on an AMD2100+...everything works just fine except when u actually try and take off....the screen begins to jump and my cockpit shakes....and this is offline...haven't tried it online.  Very annoying to say the least...other than that it works fine for me.
