Seem's Elie Wiesel think's the EU is soft on Iraq? For those that worry more about who or what the messenger is. Rather that the message, he is a Jew.
"I believe it is the moral duty to intervene when evil has power and uses it," Wiesel said. "If Europe were to apply as much pressure on Saddam Hussein as (it) does on the United States and Britain, I think we could prevent war."

I agree with his rational, if pressure was put on Saddam war can be averted. All that the dissention towards the US and England does is make Saddam more defiant.
I am not saying that Germany and France should be 100% behind us, but turn to Saddam and encourage his compliance with the UN resolutions.
Germany's stance make sense to me due to their past aggressions, but France don't they still test nukes and supply most of these hot spot countries with weapons anyway. War is a last result and it has been 12 years since the war, and he still is defiant more pressure must be put on him.

France, Russia and Germany have made war more likely by giving Hussein false hope. Same goes for all the people who demonstrated against the US (including americans). They provided aid and comfort to Hussein and made conflict more likely.

false hope for peace ohh the horror they dont want bushes private war the evil peace mongering bastards.
aid and comfort to the enemy ? wow who are we at war with again ? not

Ahhh Lord, I guess I missed something. What did Elie Wiesel say you don't agree with?
-
1938 , peace in our time = worst war in history of earth.

I think what towd (aka lord dolph vader) is saying is that bush sucks. Anything bush does must suck as well. Its a trend that started when bush stole the presidency from the legitimate winner, gore.

There is evidence of a delusional mind in this thread. ;)

This may upset him then.
If Saddam Hussein "fails to comply, and we fail to act, or we take some ambiguous third route which gives him yet more opportunities to develop his program of weapons of mass destruction and continue to press for the release of the
sanctions and continue to ignore the solemn commitments that he made? Well, he will conclude that the international community has lost its will. He will then conclude that he can go right on and do more to rebuild an arsenal of
devastating destruction." President Bill Clinton, February 18, 1998.

No fair! No fair!

Well, after that, I've rewritten it for him. Is this "fair and balanced" now?
