Title: taking enemy field

when hosting in h2h i can not seem to take enemy airfield, i destroy all acks, and air hangers fighters and bomers, and even the veichle hanger, then i bring in the goons with troops and deploy, but can't seem to take air field, is there some thing im missing or are there a setting that i need to change. please help!

Yes. You need to destroy the town, then drop on the town.

To capture a field, you must attack the town that is attached to the airfield, not the airfield itself.  You should be able to see the town within visual distance of the airfield, or look on the clipboard map for the small yellow dot near the airfield, that's the town.  The town must be completely flattened, then you drop troops at the town.  The airfield doesn't necessarily need to be targetted in order to capture a field (though it is safer to knock out the airfield too).

Town doesn't have to be totally flat..  I can't confirm this for sure, but I have heard that, you do not have to kill the barracks and the ammo bunker in the town.  Just kill everything else and then drop the troops.

the map in h2h has no town , the map is usa 2, they are small islands surrounded by water, how do i caputure these islands do i need to destoy every thing on these islands, then bring in the goons and drop troops,or just certian buildings.

Try loading a normal main arena map, like NDisles, and try on that.  There is no telling on a H2H map whether the airfields/towns have been properly placed to allow capture.

You are correct SKurj, you don't need to flatten everything, but best not to confuse the issue :)  On some maps you are correct, you could leave the barracks and ammo bunker, but there were some maps where that didn't work (not sure, I think they are fixed now) and the two small "bunker-like" objects often caused confusion...

Here's a maproom test.

1) When you dropped your goons did they run to the Maproom?

2) Fly a Fighter and shoot at the Maproom, did you capture the Field then?

3) How many Fields per Country are there?

Make sure you drop  above 800ft AGL and make sure on map you are very close to yellow dot, as this is the map room. If this doesnt work make sure acks are dead :)
