Two suggestions, Grissom:

1: Always start a fresh thread for stumpers. Hijacking an existing one (on the first reply, no less) isn't a preferable option for most here.

2: Rename your cut jpegs. This one says "tb5c-submergable hydrofoil".

Just sayin'. :)

I was thinking the same but the stern seems ... dunno ... modified. Post refit? Didn't realize it would be so drastic, if so.

9 12 inch guns
12 5 inch guns

56 40MM AA
34 20MM AA

max 9" armor belt
about 5" deck armor in 3 layers
max 13" on the turret
and 10" on the bridge

if you can find me in the MA i'll fly straight and level for ya, once. hehe

The "Thing" on the bow Pugg is a quad 40mm mount in it's tub. The smaller tub elevated to the right in the picture is a gun director.

Alaska was classified as a Battlecruiser, but was more along the lines of a super-sized Baltimore class. Main guns were 12" 50 caliber, probably the best 12" gun ever built.
