this forum is a sad pile of middle aged disfunctional toejam kept together as an excuse to service the pseudo community. when i was on the beach in the tropics over new years, i thought of when id come back to work time everyday routine, and that id play this game again and would read and write on these forums again, what a strange thought it was.

I can't see through the thick of the hypocrisy of the last sentence of the second paragraph to get what you mean by it. If at least you'd've paraphrased what i said I would see what direction you're pointing to. This is becoming usual in this country, ridicule of an argument is sufficient, no need to even give the reason why.
Only validation i run after is the kill buffer, why want that of people who are known not to understand//known to misinterpret?
I don't think you have the fdb level yet, i am more confident creamo or another truly enlightened of your spiritual group would qualify for a checkmate witty reply.

B Thanks for the congrats! Well planning has already been taken care of we are getting married in St. Johns in the Virgin Islands. Makes it a hell of a lot easier this way plus we wanted to get some sun while doing it. Err married. Thanks for the offer though. Might check round know some others that are getting hitched soon as well. Might have to consult you though on some other things ;)

There are no LW planes (not a bad thing, there were nore IRL) off of CVs so sometimes you just have to fly that F4U/F6F/Seafire. JV44 is one of the best at what they do...killing guys in LW iron.

I think what this post comes down to is as a CO, if you want to congratulate your squadies, email them. If you want to brag about your squad, make a thread and prepare for the flames.
AS for Batz, the only non-German planes allowed are the C47( no alternative) and teh B-26 (HTC wont give us a decent bomber). Yes, some of my members have flown other aircraft and have been told doing so can be cause for getting thrown out.
AGV's squad are a bunch of top notch fliers no doubt. They have killed us many a time, but likewise we have takin a toll on them. As a squad with 4 maybe 5 half consistant fliers, we some how manage to make the top 25 squads. I'd say we do a damn good job flying our LW planes.

I've been drunk since I've been here (2+ years I think, but I drink a lot) but I'm just lately gotten vocal.

Just read this thread, wow. As i was reading i know for a FACT, that AG was not bragging, just happy of what his squad has done and felt to post it on BBS, not a bad thing. He (in my thoughts) wanted those who know JV44 to share in our congratulating the squad for a Job Well Done. No ill intent at all. If you thought that this was a stupid threat than i might ask you, why did u proceed in sharing your words int his thread? I aim no ill intent to any of you, just trying explain.
As for the plane issue. It is very hard to fly LW planes completly for a whole tour, not inpossible but extremly hard. Expecially if there is a base far away from one where as a CV is next to it and you are on defense/attack and need to be there quickly. Though AG did say it was in good Luftwaffe Fasion, which is true we do fly LW, if you thought about it then youd realise what he meant.

Not to hijack the thread but I must defend my squad for a moment.
thrila, i commend you on your reasearch, but in doing so you should have realized that all those kills in spitfires, save one, were by a single member. Although I stress in my squad that we are each a representative of the squad, I cannot control everything a member does. The individual has been addressed and I hope we have come to an understanding. I do not feel that this is a true representation of the Jabostaffels code. Therefore, I still hold firm to the belief that we are a LW only squad.
Now standing back on the legs thrila tried to take out from underneath me ;)

Steve, Wotan has his own squad.
As far as AG goes, I'm sorry you had a bad experience with him the first and only time you have talked with him.
I have at least a year and a half of flying with/around AG, the majority of my time in AH. I can tell you that he is a great guy to fly with or talk to. Anyone can have a bad day, or week for that matter. Hopefully you will have the oportunity to have the same experience with him.
This thread is out of hand, the only thing AG was trying to do was publicly express the way he feels about the people he flies with. A quick GJ or completely ignoring the post would suffice. The members of other squads that are supporting him are people that know that he is not the loudmouthed braggart that some seem to infer that he is.

Hey Laz... it was only one time.. you know how first impressions are,, but I make lots of mistakes too.. and am therefore quick to forget/forgive what I perceive others mistakes are. Maybe he was havin a bad time... or busy.. I dunno. I DO know that I have no reason to doubt you or X... so I retract and ask that you forgive my hasty judgement.. apologies to AG and the squad.

Sometimes in defense of a friend we can become beligerant and abusive. I have the same respect for Wotan that I do for AG. I was in his squad also and know him to be a great guy. I just wish the exchange in here was a little more civil and people would act as if they were face to face with the person they were replying/talking to. Of course, the entertainment level of the boards would fall drastically if we were all reduced to civility. :D
