Title: US/UK Warplanes attack Surface-Surface Missile Batteries...
Post by: Dowding on March 04, 2003, 08:47:20 AM
The war has begun, it would seem. Normally, only radar sites that lock on to the aircraft enforcing the no-fly-zone are targetted (along with the associated SAM batteries).

Last time I checked, surface-to-surface missiles weren't a threat to aircraft.

Well, I sure hope you are right, but I doubt it. The Americans and Brits will stretch the boundaries of the no-fly-zone patrols like this more and more, but the real war wont start in another couple of days. Friday at the earliest is my bet.
