just to make it interesting, not just the class of each ship, but the names too :D

The big one looks like the upgraded Mossouri or another Iwoa-class. I can see the white-domed shape of the Phalanx guns, as well as the aft AAA gun tubes. The antenna masts also mark it as the upgraded version. Don't know about the other one...a fig or a tin-can of some sort, taking on fuel from the BB.

No no no no, the REAL question is what are they doing, who is doing what, and who gets the bill when they are done? BTW, that definately looks like the Iowa. Or maybe it's the New Jersey. No wait, it's the Missouri!! Aww, hell, its Iowa-class anyway

Well half right so far
the big one is the USS Iowa.
here's some stats to help on the second one
commisioned in '64, upgraded in '84
length 371' beam 42' draft 23.5'
armament.
4 76MM L50 cannons in twin for and aft turrets
6 Mk 32 torps in tripple mountings.

BB-61 USS Iowa and D-266 HMCS Nipigon, Annapolis class ASW destroyer.
