Dammit... I had hope, but it was not to be. Buzz knew his days were drawing to a close, but he kept his humor and warrior spirit to the end. As my days grow less, may I have half the strength of character and courage that Buzz had.
Farewell dear friend.

Didn't know him, but my condolences to those that did. Its never good to lose a friend or comrade - though the reactions of those affected by them can reveal much about them we never knew, and give us perspective on our own place in the world.

I wish I could have met you in person.
Yet, somehow I feel I've always known you. May you and scav merge forever over yonder.

A true gentleman. Will be missed by all

Buzz
A battle lost is a battle lost. A battle lost with honor, dignity, and pride is one to remember. When a pilot is lost to under these, though the battle is lost, he flies his plane in the great skies above for all eternity with all the others downed. :(

Sorry to hear of your loss. Our thoughts go out to you all, his family and friends.

:( Although I didn't know him, I remember him from AW days. He was always gentlemanly and gracious on th radio buffer, as I recall. I didn't know he was ill, and his passing saddens me. My heart-felt best wishes for happier days to his family and friends as they recall his memory.
P.S., anyone have any anecdotes about BUZZARD to honor his memory with?
-
its been a long time since i even thought of Buzz. I remember him from Airwarrior. We fought with, and against each other many times. He was always gracious in victory or defeat. I cant say that we were great friends, because we didnt really talk outside the game, but it was always nice to see him in the arena. From all the nice things people have been saying about him, its apparent he was a great friend too. Now i wish i would have gotten to know him better. I salute you Buzz.

Used to fly against him (die) in AW alot. He was about the best I ever saw in the F4U. Flew a couple of missions with him in AH. He was always nice, never had a bad word to say. I'll miss him...

Use to fly against him during my old days in AW. He was always a gent. I didnt know that he was sick and it makes me feel real real bad.
We use to dogfight a lot one another around 4 to 5 o'clock in the morning since they were no one left i the arena. I think I still got some guncam from that era, I am gonna have to check.
Same as someone said earlier, I didnt know him privatly, out of AW but he was always a nice guy.
I just lost my wife from cancer 5 months ago (long long battle) and man it hit me like a hammer everytime I heard someone has passed away due to it.
See you in the virtual sky Buzz. I didnt know you much dude but I really feel like I did.
Godspeed my friend.

I used to look forward to Buzz coming out of C land way back in DOS. We fought many ..many times. I learned alot from him. Those friendly fights kept me interested in learning this game.
I wanted to beat him sooooo bad. S! Bro.
