I think it would be good if we could have the tail section of the plane to be in squad colours with squad art, be much better that the little tiny thing we have now :)

Every raf plane have 3 letter markings. We live first 2 /squadron markings/ and 3th letter can be assigned by squad leader to every member on squad.

for example: my squadron have historiical markings RF and members list
Suave -A
Lucull -B
Asmo -C
1olo - D
bummwipe -E
fdski - F
dasko G
.
.
FunkedUp - Z

or if we play Axis planes

Drunky -1
LeitWolf 2
Urchin - 3
.
.
.
Wotan- 18

if we play USAF or VVS same like here. Every member of squadron can have your own letter and number placed on side of airplane.
Depends on what plane he play number of letter. For this idea HTC creators should live only place for markings on tail and system of selection. MAin skin markings /strips, color plates/ should be untouched. Nice is int?

Is custom nose art even visible on some planes?  I've noticed a couple that don't show it, like the P-38.  In every film or screenshot I have, it only shows my P-38 with the default nose art, not the 479th squad logo.

It would be a very nice option to select the art placement between nose and tail. Our squadron's logo should be in the tail.

Even when I wing up with my fellow P-38 squad mates in the MA, our squad nose art doesn't show.  I think the other fighter that doesn't show it either is the Me262 but not sure.

like in real: 1st AF had a triangular
                  2nd AF a cirkle
                  3nd AF a square

and afcourse with the numbers of the Squad in it

Ive posted before that I think a great compromise would be to allow squad colors on wings.  2-5 stripes of color, set by the squad to designate them (like the normandy invasion stripes).  It would be very visable (key problem with current art...its not), and would create that sense of "Holy Craps that the ***** squad"

Because it wouldnt be "artwork", it wouldnt require any real bandwidth or increase in computer power to use.

It's got my vote. I'd love to be able to tell who I'm fighting from a further distance. It's VERY rare to get up close enough to see the little nose art square, and even rarer to have a chance to look at once you are that close.

It's one thing to see a big group of like aircraft, whatever type they are, it would be SO much more impressive to know that a group is all the same squad.
