There is a post about what view system you use. I noticed a few people comment that they have a button set on their stick for up, so that they can have the angled up views at the same time they have the normal, level views.
I use the old AirWarrior and WarBirds stick sets. I had thought this was the default configuration, but I see not everyone uses them.
Hat up = up view
Hat down = back
Hat left = left
Hat right = right
Button 4 = Toggle stick set 2
And in stick set 2 a few things change
Hat up = forward and up view
Hat down = back and up
Hat left = left and up
Hat right = right and up
Button 4 = Toggle stick set 1.
I don't even use stick set 3 and 4 for anything.
This is just FYI if some of you out there don't even know you can do this sort of thing. This game has 4 joystick configurations available and they can be changed on the fly.
As you can see I have my joystick configured so I can loop back and forth between two stick sets to change how my hat works.
Old timers probably know all about this trick.

I know WB's had stick sets. AW never did. I have no idead at all how to use them in AH. Havent' really needed to either. Although a stick set would be nice so I could use them depending on fighter, bomber or ground vehicle.

I only change to a different stickset just before I go into the bombardier position, where I have set all needed for bombing on my stick. At all other times (fighter, gunning, vehicle) I am in stickset 1, with gun selections, firing, WEP and views (8-way hat able to be combined with two buttons for up and down views)
When I started in AH I had used all 4 sticksets where #3 was to be the "cruise"-set with all the autopilots, pan views and also with trimming. #4 was for landing take-off.
I felt it was more confusing than helping and since the situations where #3 and #4 was to be used was times where it would be safe to reach for the keyboard to extend those gears etc, I just settled for the first 2.

Yes, I use two stick sets in order to get the 'quarter up' views.
Stick sets can also be used for the different modes of flight. That way you can use the same button you normally have for bombs/rocketsm as a trim, or zoom. Those are great ideas, but I only use it for the views. It's too easy to get confused already! (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)

I use the 2nd stick set for trim. I mapped my trim keys to the hat on the 2nd set and with a button push I have trim adjust and then a button and I am back to views. With practice it is almost as easy as the guys with the fancy HOTAS setups (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Yes I use the stick sets for views. I also have all guns on trigger so I use stickset to switch between full guns & primary only.

Nope, I use the keypad to veiw, mostly because I'd probably confuse myself.
The idea to have one for vehicles sounds pretty nifty, I'll have to look into that.

"Stick sets??" <slowly stops chewing on joystick> Do they taste good? (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)

Same here... Everytime a new button or command for AH came out I had to re-organize my entire stick profile. I'd sit there for 3-4 hours re-arranging the whole thing so it would make sense.
Then I'd spend the next 3-4 hours online going "hmmm I wonder what this one does".... usually I'd bail out, or bomb myself, or killshoot myself.
