Title: Nvidia 41.09
Post by: FOGOLD on March 09, 2003, 04:12:20 AM
Any tips for setting the performance settings on these drivers?

Tried one notch up for anisotropic filtering and AA and it chopped FR in AH to unplayable!

1800XP
512 DDR
Gforce3 Ti500
Audigy Player

Solved my lockup probs though

You will not want to use FSAA nor Anistrophic filtering on that video card.  It really will hurt your frame rate.

Thought it had solved my lockup problems. 1.5 hours into snapshot tonight, just flying along - bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz! complete freeze.
This drives me nuts. It is sooo random. I would do a clean install if other games were doing it. I still suspect the Cougar and USB somehow.

Tried everything except a complete reinstall.

My system is very similar.  The GeForce3 sucks at AF, and AA makes AH map text blurry, so it's not worth it anyways.

uninstalled and took it out from the registry. You have to watch out cos Windows XP has its own native Det drivers.

I'm using the Omega 9M 1.4230a (Performance) drivers for my GF3 Ti 200 card.  Getting better frame rates and stability than with the stock Nvidia drivers but YMMV.
