Gents,
Over ther last few years the Reading PA. Airshow has become increasingly popular and quality Airshow as well as becoming a popular meeting spot for AH fanatics.
In any case this year is the best list of Airshow attendies I have seen in the US in years.
A flying P-38!!
A flying F6F!!
A flying Yak-9!!
A flying Hurricane!!
A flying FM-2!!
Spitfire, F4U, P-47, P-51's, B-17's and more.
I think this should be the first annual AH convetion? What do you guys think? Personally I think HTC should send a representitive for marketing and relations since all that is needed is to rent a 'Hut" or tent since the whole event is on a grass field. If HT, Pyro, Natedog or Superfly could make it that would be great!! of course you could send Yankee but I can't gaurantee her return in a clean, dry servicable condition ;)
This is a hands on Airshow where you can touch the airplanes and is not to be missed.
BTW. I have purchased many manuals and back ordered publications and rare books at this event for very cheap. It is the best Warbird sale of the year!!
Come one come all here is the link.

Iv wondered myself why HTC hasnt set up a booth at Oshkosh WI for AirVenture.
It would be a perfect place to display AH to nearly a Million potential customers. Everyone that has anything to do with Aviation is there. Its the True Meca for the world flight.
You like WW2 Aircraft? Well, There is Several Hundred on hand every year. Dozens of P51s, Bombers of most every type, Corsiars, BearCats, WildCats, Hellcats, TBMs, Spitfires... Most every thing is there at one time or another.
This is the Largest show of its type in the World.
Iv seen MS Flightsim, Red Baron, and dozens of other flight sims on display, Normaly some of the most crowed booths. Yet Iv not seen anything from HTC. I think they are missing a huge opertunity to market their product. As a bonus, they get to see the show. (planes in the air, sun up to sun down, for a week)

Or Lakeland, Florida for Sun n Fun in April (still the 2nd largest fly-in in North America, I think). When "Fly!" first came out years ago they set up a chair with a CH joystick and a big-screen tv with speakers and had a steady stream of folks taking it for a test drive. It was a good way for them to get their foot in the door to upset MSFS as the desktop flight simulator of choice, and no doubt got some business from the exposure.
Or maybe HTC is paranoid about the fidelity of their flight model when put under such scrutiny?
Hey, if nothing else it would give them a good excuse to come to Florida and spend some time at Fantasy of Flight and Warbirds Museum in Orlando. ;)

1 Million Potential new customers with a server that can handle only 750 people at any given time. AH does is not ready for the influx even if only 1% of those people at the show signed up. In order for HTC to do marketing on this grand of scale the whole game system would have to be revamped. Hell people were squeaking about not being able to get into the MA when they sent out the e-mail to previous customers giving freeplay for awhile.

I know when I saw that list this year I just can't wait to go. Then I saw the date, figures that it's on the same Saturday I'm getting married on. I wonder if we could get them to do a flyby at the reception.
I was really looking forward to seeing all you guys again this year.
please, please, please take lots of pics to share

See you there. :)

Steve,
Ill be there as I am every year for most of the week. We will have to get in contact before hand and I be happy to look you up.
Gofaster,
Agree, Sun n Fun is like Oshkoshs little Brother. Iv been once and its got to be the next best show anywhere, and some like it better because its a bit smaller.
If 1% of those folks did sign up, That would close to 2 million more a year in revenue. Perhaps new servers can be purchased at that point, maybe addition arenas or provisions for Huge 5000 player arenas could be made. HT will have to make that judgment call. :)
Still, Its a great place to reach alot of people. If anyone at HTC does read this, and wants to know who to talk to at EAA, feel free to contact me.

My addiction to "Air Warrior" prompted me to become a lifetime member. One benefit is access to the flight line (and a cool flight jacket). I usually shoot 3 or 4 rolls of film but this year I'm going digital - better chance of making good shots!

Will be there providing reenactor's entertainment in the simulated land battle. Also attend Frederick, MD's Wings Over Frederick WWII Airshow. As good or better than Reading IMHO. Both are must see's. Not sure what my unit will bring. Could be an M36 Jackson, or an M10/M18 Tank Destroyer. Will also bring M3 Halftrack with 57MM AT Gun. lots of fun and a front row seat on the airfield. See you there. look up CLAP and PNUS at the Redball Unit Display.
