Title: Scoring: How do you get a hit % v objects for GVs?

I noticed a lotta people have a 0% hit rating v objects in GVs.......including me.

What scores this?  It cant be tank main gun rounds cos I've taken out a few towns already this tour.  It cant be pintle, hull or turret MGs cos I've also used them on town buildings this tour.

So what is it?

I see some people have good hit %s in the catagory.......so how?

Take a pt boat and sink a carrier or cruiser that is what I did and it gave me a % score in that catagory.  WATCH THE SHIPS GUNS, LOL      I got killed 5 times before I got rid of that stinking ship, but it saved our base

Hit something with PT rocs or torps. Nothing else counts.

swoop,

take a PT Boat to a field/town or GV base on coast.

Watch out for ack of course, use your rockets very sparingly whilst aiming, just hit something once and STOP FIRING, check stats for your hit percentage.

This brings up a question I've had: how close do you need to be to hit with a torp?  What's its range?

Ya know Midnight, I'm wondering the same thing.


How many newbies who'd like a shot at the $50 know this information that you have to drive a PT boat?

And why are total "points" set up to be a factor in rank?  All this means is that those who play more will naturally rank better due to higher total scores.  Sure ok you can argue that without this someone could fly 1 sortie, get 15 kills vulching with a hit ratio of 50% and then keep the no.1 fighter spot for the rest of the month without flying another sortie......but that's easily remedied by adding a minimum sortie for ranking switch.  We dont need a score catagory that merely makes it easier for the pasty skin dweebs with no life to rank better.

swoop,

I don't think there are any secrets to scoring well for rank, I started a thread a while back asking for tips/hints etc, lots of replies from regulars/aces etc.
