Title: A house divided.
Post by: slimm50 on March 13, 2003, 10:25:59 AM
"If the U.S. administration sticks to international law and listens carefully to the world public opinion and to the opinion of its own people, it should not embark on any aggression against Iraq," Sabri said."

Ya see? This is what comes from France, Russia, Germany, et. al. and our own malcontents here at home sending mixed signals to S.H. If there'd been a united effort there wouldn't even be the need to send in the military. IMHO.

yes, the Admin should listen to its own people, who 70% favor military action (with UN backing).

1441 is all the "permission" that is needed!

I don't think that you want the safety of your family to be determined by some nations who could care less if you live or die.

I'm curious...what was the % that favor military action even without UN backing?

Latest poll I read was that less than 50% favored without.

I'm in that % then...

what is the UN if not the US? We see on TV now - just a bunch of hand wringing do nothings, more worried about their own country and politics than the global community they were established to protect.
Title: meet at the poll

Here is an interesting site that I found while trying to answer my own question.  More polls than you can shake a stick at on the Iraq issue.
