Heheeh I remember that. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif) Only Ts and myself were left out of my squadron and we were the only aircraft CAPing the CV. We were at about 10k and saw about 8 dots at around 5k S of the CV. It was about 20 minutes from the end of the frame.
We thought they might be Ju88s or jabo fighters and (bravely) dived to engage in an attempt to save Furious. I'd killed 2 190s earlier and wanted more! (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)
Doh! Not Ju88s at all but about 8 190s (including yourself).
Why were you so low and so far from home?

We were the only ones to get close to the CV, we came in at 25 feet and avoided detection by some 40 or so fighters. We dropped our bombs to engage you 2 which was dumb on our part but we wanted to live more then anything. I think their was only 6 of us though, we lost 1 in first 15 mintues of action and then we were 1 short on take off. Lil 30mm enema (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif) We ran as fast as we could after that. One thing for sure we learned a lesson A8's suck big time on the deck <S>

That's exactly why we engaged - we wanted any jabo planes to drop their bombs.

Check that 4 A8's 2 F8's was our group. <S> You guys did your job, and its rather hard when it is 6-2 odds. Especially when some of us were packing 30mm (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Had a blast as that was my first event in AH. Can't wait for the next one. Felt very sorry for the bomber guys they got massacred almost everytime. And those TBM's yikes Wotan And I wiped out 8 in under 2 minutes in frame 3. BTW I did get both of you (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif) Forgot about that.

It was the 30mm that got me - couple of pings and boom. Back to the tower for me. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
I doubt there will be another campaign until after the summer going on how many we've had so far. Afrika Corps was back in November and it must take the CM's ages to plan everything.
