JG 2
(warning, this post does not relate to 98 percent of the AH population)
I mean, in no specific order, Urchin, Wotan, Heinkel, Turbot, Lazerus, Drunky, Moot, Scott, AGJV44, Erlkonig, Leitwolf, Bradys5, Fork...
Never did I fly w/ a finer bunch of virtual pilots -- in skill and 'temperment', ain't the same these days.

We should all get back together for a night or two sometime this month...

"Old" JG2? That is the "New" JG2 you are missing.
The old JG2 was guys like Ripsnort, Hblair, Me, Weazel, and about 250 other guys. It was literally like 1/4 of AH at one point (not really, but sure felt like it).
I can remember in beta when far more than 1/2 the Knights on were all in JG2.
Man, those huge formations were tons of fun. I've never seen a formation of 15 109's or 190's since those days.
The "New" JG2 were all exceptional pilots, you guys should get back together.

Weazel was my squadie in the EZ Targets way back when..

For there has been a few Jagdgeschwader 'Richthofen' in different venues..
If I could have a dime for every hour I spent in a 190 :)
I have my own personal preferences from another time, another place ;)

Well.... Wotan took over the reigns of JG 2 in AH about a year ago, he ran a tight ship *barf*. As much as I liked it *puke* I miss it...
I want to duel Urchin!

P.S. Drunky can't drink beer, he pretends and then barfs up the foam later.

Ahh I feel young again. The old JG2 days were JUST before my time. I hopped on in Tour 3 and joined Rip w/ the newly formed "experimental" Death Rattlers :D

yup I remember back when Ripsnort was a leather wearing Luftwobble you too Octavito you too and when we moved form Rooks to Knights because frankly there were no Knights and Jg2=Knights :D

Yep that was fun when JG 2 was huge. I always knew that if 308 flooded an area with Spitfires, a bunch of 109s and 190s would show up. :)

Yep, them were the "Good Old JG2 days", when folks hated us because we had 76 pilots in 3 squads!

Yes i remember some of those days. I thought they were awesome. I always wondered what it would be like to fly in that squad. I always thought myself absolite. And here I am, a newb to the squad. It's true tho, i think the old JG2 should get together, at LEAST for a night of serious Luftwaffe piloting. Even if i wasnt part of it at that point id like to see it =) or fly next to it =).
BTW Ely, i see you on the chan alot, and when i log on and see you, a second later you are off the chan, ive tried talkin to ya tho.. never really talked to ya tho, i think its essential for myself to get to know all of ya tho =). well hope to talk to ya, hope it wasnt somthing i did earlier in time that is the blockade ;).

Yeah, I guess I meant the 'new' JG 2 when I wrote this post, didn't really realize the history. By some weird stroke of fate I'm in Ripsnorts squad now, had no idea he was CO of the 'old' JG 2.
XtremeJ -- flying rooks these days so off the old JV 44 squad channel, I'll be sure to fly with ya if I get the chance.
Oh yeah, Lazerus is even good when he's drunk these days, glad we pryed his bellybutton outta those bombers :).

Wasnt it JG2 that quit "en' mass" way back in beta. Something about the FW planes being porked in a vast AH HTC Anti-Euro conspiricy.
Back then it was quite the shock as about half the player base were JG2s
:D
