Title: Win2k Pro Experts????

Hey guys, I use Win2k Pro for my wife and I and everytime I try to log on to "My" settings, I get the background.....but my mouse cursor is "frozen" and It wont load up...so I have to hit Ctrl Atl Del to get "Log Out" shut down screen ect, So I click Log off, the retry and everything works fine...?



Is there some simple fix for this? or what direction to I need to go with this? It can be annoying everytime I try to log on to my settings....

Instead of logging off, look in Task Manager and see if anything is taking 100% CPU.

Secondly, see if you have any additional startup programs in c:\Documents and Settings\\Start Menu\Programs\Start and HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run (and RunOnce)

If all that fails, try resetting your profile - log in as an admin level user, copy your profile somewhere safe, then delete the original. Log in as yourself and copy back what you need.
