Title: an email i got.....
Post by: JB73 on March 14, 2003, 12:16:20 PM
im not picking sides on this argument openly.

just thought you'd all like this joke seeing as all the posts i have seen here :)

March 4, 2003. Today it was reported that severe earthquakes have occurred in 10 different locations in France. The severity was measured in excess of 10 on the Richter Scale. The cause was the 56,681 dead American soldiers buried in French soil rolling over in their graves.

According to the American Battle Monuments Commission there are 26,255 Yankee dead from World War I buried in 4 cemeteries in France. There are 30,426 American dead from World War II buried in 6 cemeteries in France. These 56,681 brave American heroes died in their youth to liberate a country, which is guilty of shameful unspeakable behavior in the 21st century.

May the United States of America never forget their sacrifice as we find ways to forcefully deal with the Godforsaken unappreciative, forgetful country of France!

Hmmm... I haven't quite figured out what it is exactly that France has done to hurt the United States.

Bush has made a toejamty case for war and France has the balls to step up in an international forum and say so.

Good for them.

Its my opinion that Clinton made a toejamty case for war (do some speech checks on him, he was threatening war just like Bush) and Bush is following up on the promise.  France is just protecting her national best interests ($$)

I agree.

I do think the French have a right to disagree, what I am now finding appalling is their blantant stand against any resolution or conditions to cause Iraq to disarm itself of WMD.

I thought the British proposal was a very good proposal.  The French rejected it before the Iragies could.

I guess the French are more than willing to risk America getting attacked with biological agents rather than risk losing the chance to develop some Irag oil fields.

Great thanks we get for helping rid France of German occupation.  How about, any terrorist act committed against the USA in the future that can be traced in any way to Irag, we visit the same on France?  Now there is a resolution I could get behind.  Maybe the greedy bastards would have to pause and think about that for a minute.

Its about money with the French, its not about humanitarian concerns, its not about world peace, its not about middle east stability, or any sense of morality, its about money.

Yes they have a right to disagree, but at least they should show a little restraint in rushing to protect their future cash cow.

Like it or not, Bush is trying to proactively protect the US from future terrorist acts supported by an evil regime lead by an insane and brutal dictator.  A dictator who despises the USA, who kills his own people using chemical agents, a dictator who uses torture as an amusement.  A dictator who imprisons thousands, most of who are innocent of any real offense and will most likely die before every breathing the air as a free man.

Yes, France has it right, let Saddam continue to commit crimes against his own people, let him threaten his neighbors and the whole middle east. Let Saddam continue to amass an incredible arsenal of chemical, biological and nuclear weaposn, its just one great freaking idea to have an evil insane man controlling these weapons.  Surely 8500 liters of biological agents isn't near enough for his homeland defense.  Oh, does anyone really develop these agents as a defense weapon?  Meaning they would use it in their own country?  Only if you have that pesky Kurdish problem I guess.

As long as France has a shot at an oil field or two, who cares what Saddam does?  Why care who or how many he has murdered?  Let the children starve, let the people die from lack of medicine, at least their survivors have the largest mosques being built, and huge statues and portraits of Saddam to take comfort in.  If they get depressed, they can always go and look at one of his many huge presidential palaces while they suffer from malnutrion.

Yes, the French are right. Protect Saddam now before his people expect to live in a free and safe country with adequate food and medicine.

The French must have an oil field or two, thats for sure.

This just in... Clinton isn't the president of the United States.

It's all about money. The estimated cost of rebuilding Iraq's oil infrastructure is $2 billion and companies like Exxon Mobil, ChevronTexaco, ConocoPhillips, and Halliburton are already squabbling over their share from the trough.

And you know who owns shares in those companies, right?(Hint: Look at the list of European companies that are vested and majority stock holders)  Surprise! ;)

speaking of Haliburton, Has anyone heard head or tails from our VP Cheney? I can't think of the last time he surfaced for a sound bite. Anyone?

Ya know, when it comes down to it the most LIKELY way to insure a war is for the divisiveness that is now prevalent. Had there been a unified "Western world" front it would be far more likely to cause iraq to cave in to the UN. As it is now, saddumb has absolutely NO reason not to play on the divisions and delay further. After all, he knows he has bought france and germany and as long as he can insure there is no real valid UN threat he is just secure in playing the victim.

It's a shame, but that is the way things are going now. I think, IMO, that Bush is in the position to show how ineffective the UN is now and likely to be in the near future at the very least. I am afraid that the conflict will effectively doom any future the UN has.

He gave the commencement speech at Michigan State Univ. last May.  That's all I've heard from him in the past 2 years or so.

Please quote the source for this information, even better provide a link to a reputable webpage.

I know you wouldnt post such stuff if it wasnt true, you wouldnt just make it up to prove some misguided point you think is the case from listening to some of those hollywood limousine liberals.

So, show us where we can verify this ourselves please.

I've seen France's position referred to as 'ballsy' more than once.  To me, balls means taking risks.  What risks is ChIraq taking by his stance?  I don't see it.  I don't see how he stands to lose anything with his position, regardless of what happens in Iraq.  Blair and Bush are risking their political careers, if nothing else.  Hussein is playing with his life on the line.  ChIraq??  No way for him to lose, he is risking nothing.

France with balls?!

MWUAHHAHAHAHA!

God I hope you really don't think France is doing what it's doing because they think Bush is wrong!

France has proof right in front of them that Bush IS right and all they can think about is their oil rights. PERIOD!

France with balls (hehe) that's pretty funny...kinda like a lesbian with strapon balls...they found a pair but don't know what to do with them since they never had them before.
